I misunderstood and thought he was doing a run. Like the one off approach - some more than others. Be interesting to hear release details!! Good for Mark. Can't wait to do a run!

I love the Deadbeet, and don't see how it's different from any other American artist choosing the sofubi medium to produce their original figure in.

Thanks for joining just to pimp your crappy toy ;)

There is soooo much Hypocrisy on these boards...

mods yell at people for selling their own work, but Skinner and Coop can do it with praise.
Grody pimped this board like there is no tomorrow, but got praise.

If you hate the toy don't look in here. Seems like every thread nowadays has someone trolling with I hate my life so much I must make yours miserable posts.

I dont collect the Deadbeets and think Tolleson is a asshole, but I give him respect for creating what he(and a ton of people) like.

Beets aside, here are a couple things with regards to what you said. Other people/makers do get shit on here for doing this same thing, no one is singling out Scott. Luke/Grody is based out of Japan, as far as I am aware never once posted here himself, and still gets a lot of flack, whether you think GS deserves it or not. And those toys are on average 20-30$. And if you don't think there is still hate against them, you haven't followed the threads closely.

Same goes for Skinner/Frank/etc. Those guys have all dealt with this reaction too. It is all part of it on here, this is no different.

You are just too cute for school there boy.
Mine didn't have any color in the text.
And I think you are an asshole for showing up just to sell your toy.
Then you went into a few threads to show you are participating.
Go you.
Have a great time, I'm glad you looked around enough, or had a fanboy explain to you sarcasm.

I think you have mistaken me for someone who wanted to be an artist.
I still make bootleg toys.
Its a love of toys thing.
Not a throw paint on every single toy I can get my hands on just to paint and try to sell them thing.
But I doubt you'd understand the whole actually collecting thing.

I love how childish this place gets
Your friend came here to sell his stuff.
He gets called out.
You call names.
You were the same person selling things and doing customs for a rip off artist because he had never ripped you off personally. Way to keep the community and RFSO going brah.

Or like all the figures painted straight out of the Monster Color playbook over and over and over again?

Some of us are truly inspired by vintage Japan toys. That's what inspired me to make them.

Years ago, not just any KR "Now I feel it" yahoo could get their half ass wad of uninspired pounded Playdough sent to Japan and "Sofubi-ized"
A few of us worked very hard, actually WENT to Japan, and networked our asses off.

Ask me about the difference. That's my opinion on that.

I can understand your feeling that way. Japanese soft vinyl is a medium becoming increasingly popular, and more accessible for use no doubt. I do Think George Gaspar is an incredible accomplished sculptor.

I also remember all the "I don't feel its" and "Cheap" looking remarks that made me leave the KR board.
Comes around goes around I guess. Now SB is some sort of lifeboat.

I think George is an amazing sculptor. I never said he wasn't.

It's amazing how much this thread now resembles the kind of KR thread all of us hate. What sucks is that it's a sentiment being created by long time SB'ers.

Not everyone likes every figure, I get it and thats ok. And I'm all for serious discourse about a toy but I'm not sure what kind of complaint you could have about the actual figure other than there's been a ton of releases in less than a year. It seems like there's a lot of hate because the figures popular.

Just to pull some of the additional, let's call it "confusion" to be PC, out of this thread please put all DeadBeet customs, tributes, fuckarounds etc that are not some form of sanctioned run here.

Just wanted to comment on this because I think no one noticed, but do you actually think Roma/Romani come from Rome? Try Romania, I can see where the confusion lies but still...
You're clearly confused as to what gypsy means.

Fair enough. My ex had a Roman/Greek friend with a large family. They never saw it as derogatory or with any bad connotations, and they were from the old country. So from first hand experience, I never saw it as a problem.

I've never been to this thread before, don't have a clue of what is going on but don't you guys feel that this is more attention than needed/deserved?

edit. OK I see what's going on. Continue with the bashing. Out with the opportunists.
