Sure, they're just toys (how many times does that phrase have to be needlessly thrown around) but obviously they're something that a lot of us are passionate about. Passion ≠ taken lightly.

I'm not really too happy with the 'attitude' any of the three have implied, as, for sure that aspect of it exists on here [unfortunately], but so does an incredibly laid back and fun one just for a love of toys - and that is the side I feel represents my Skullbrain and the reason I keep coming back here. I don't actually know which side is in the minority; nor does it matter that much.
Maybe some people are ruining it for everyone, or maybe the board is just shifting focus. Change is fine I guess, I just like to know what to expect when I come to the board.
*And just for the record, I am self-professed misanthrope and all-around giant curmudgeon, but not when it comes to toys.
