One of these is up for sale on MANDARAKE..... a red one, still in mesh bag. There was a blue one loose, but sold...

Also, just to point out, just because it is happening left and right here these days ( FAQs, anyone?) doesn't mean that posting/mentioning live sales is okay. It generally falls under the same category as auctions since these are limited available items.

Yeah...I generally wait until it's sold to post but never considered posting overpriced stuff from Mandarke being a problem. I mostly think it's pointless unless it's something like a one-off or proto that most people haven't seen and might enjoy.

Sigh.... i did read the FAQs. Just though this was the best way to let as many people know about it ..... I'll try not to do it again. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions"....

Agreed with phantomfauna. Mandarake can get ridiculous, and no harm done. In this case just trying to offer some advice, because it seems in every thread these days folks are posting direct links to items for sale. I won't name people, or blame it all on n00bs either. Obviously people don't read the guidelines or just have stopped caring.

Well... I did read the guidelines,(as best i could) & I do care enough to do this right.... So next time(?), I should post this in "For sale" under the appropriate category/post...?

Let others find it on their own (plus the price is ridiculous so i doubt you'd be doing anyone a favor). Best place to start is to see how this forum works. FAQ is your friend because right now you don't completely understand how this place runs.

People here are now paranoid and would rather keep this on some private closed circuit info line.

I can't speak for ultrakaiju but most people just pm friends links for stuff they are after. Also...Not to many people are going be excited for a link to a toy offered at close $1,000.

I think the majority of people here are just bored of seeing so much stuff at these prices. All I think when I see something like this pop up is "Won't be buying that one".

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
Let me just say, before this thread gets derailed further, my comment was not directed personally at Carlisle. And in this case I completely agree that the ridiculously priced stuff that is out there will generally produce a meh response in any case. I am just trying to stem the tide that seems to be popping up all over this board to constantly update with sales info. I am not trying to be elitist or keep it all secret at all; I love to share with everyone on here. I just think the board is generally for discussion, and not a million posts about "Sale is up now," "Just a few figures left," "Reminder about the upcoming sale," etc. I think it is generally understood that people try and follow the regular places and stay informed about toys they are fans of. Anyways, back to the HS discussion.

Part of me wishes HS should have used the alternate Mecha head to go in line with the quirky colors.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
That version (e.g. from the paint scheme) is a tribute to the original Bullmark Mechanikong figure, and hence the different head sculpt. I think if you look at it closely you can see the homage hidden in the curves and shape, along with the nostrils and rivet joints. I would say the Cyclops head and the above one form kind of a sandwiching of the styles around the original Bullmark. This one is closer to the first 'real' gorilla styled head, and the cyclops goes to the extreme mechanised route. It is a nice balance, but I can also get how since it is in the middle of the spectrum, it might not have as much appeal as the other two heads for everyone. But it really works with the unpainted eyes especially (for me).

Oh, I see. Disregard my vintage toy rants then. Guess what I was trying to say might still apply, in that this head could be reserved for the tribute one only, but who knows what he might do in the future. Apologies for the misunderstanding Gian.

These are going to be so cool I made a rough image to show scale – I feel a mini battle set coming on...?

^ So rad! My first thought with your size comparison pic was to take off a mini mecha arm and put it in tyranno ju's mouth.

Nice work Ian! I've already started dreaming about the HS shelf upgrade.
