Looks like something's happening with the remaining damaged (mummy) brains at secret base during golden week... Going by the translator, it looks like if you buy one of the remaining damaged brains, you'll get the astrobrain "brain" bit in addition to the extra arm... Or am I reading this wrong?

That's what they're doing for Golden Week? They completely screwed the pooch on making enough Cherry Blossom Astrobrain sets, so they're offloading the extra brains and arms with a figure that was released a few weeks ago? Shit - at least save them for the "lucky" bags so there's something halfway decent in them.
SB made some great toys - and occasionally they still do - but it seems like they're not giving their toys the proper attention these days.

If they're still sitting on those Astro Brain heads, that's a slap in the face for the people that bought full sets and only got inner heads and arms as the bonus.

The Cherry Blossom Three is a bonus thing. Maybe the first of a few extras.
And the way I read it you had a choice between arm or outer head? Not necessarily you get both?

As for the Cherry Blossom Three thing - I expected the bonus set to be a short run. They were never going to sell all these guys in full sets of three so it didn't warrant having enough to do so. It was only after Mark posted the bonus figure that people jumped on board - some number of days after the release. I would have thought it would have been a given that this bonus would be limited. It's a FREE figure after all.

Anyone see Hiddys IG? Shots of those new devilman sculpts, first color dropped at super fest and sold out today. Hard to see in the pic because theyre unpainted black or blue but def looks like the one skull is pushead and the 4th one, the one we didnt get a tease of in that first mixed parts photo looks to be a, with lack of a better word, "Goner" head: big bulging eyes, open mouth, etc.

The three skulls are pushead, usugrow, and bounty hunter. Rocking Jellybean did the fink head. And the other 2 seem to be the regular releases

For some reason these just don't add anything to the figure for me except the Usugrow maybe. That close up with the black jewels looks really nice. The others kind of detract on how "smooth" the originals looked I guess.

I've been wanting to collect these for awhile this was the final push I needed.

As someone who loves masked toys,i gotta say sb outdid themselves with these.i think these will be fun to collect and trade around to get the different masks.not to mention its cool to see everyones take on a skull side by side.

This is true for me only for a couple of new masks. I hope if they're sold blind bagged I wont get one of those!

the usugrow one still looks really tribal to me, as in tribal tattoo, not cool ceremony tribal.

i want to see the RJB in profile, i bet it looks just as great as his devilman print.

The busy detail doesn't scale down well IMO.
Maybe the Usugrow or the BxH, but the others don't work for me.
