There will be some planned downtime starting Wednesday, June 15th at 9am EDT. The board will be closed for approximately 12 to 24 hours while we work on migrating to a new forum software. For more information on the move, check out the Board Change Announcements thread.
Dokuroking was so cool to share with me his collection of old anime soundtracks after I posted the AM5 flexy vinyl in the Vintage section; and considering that quite a few board members were interested, we thought that it could've been cool to set up a dedicated thread; so to kick off here are three volumes of a 1970's Tokusatsu Heroes Theme collection:
* I'm not sure how long I'll be able to host this zip file so if interested best thing is to download asap. If anyone has some space to host these files please feel free to repost as I'm not sure if they will eventually get knocked off from the yousendit I'm using here. ** The general idea here is to share old scores between collectors but please let me know if I'm breaking a rule, there might be some copyright infringement I'm not aware of.

Sounds great, looking forward to hearing it! The words 'fuzzy', 'jazz' and 'weird' in the same sentence sound awesome

Thanks for posting that man. Actually, if someone does have a good method, I think a general Skullbrain hosting site would be such a great idea. For things like these audio files, or missing episodes of certain hero-oriented shows that have not been included on the DVD, great image captures, etc.

Ok, so here's a 1.2GB zip containing three volumes of Super Robot Shudaika Sonyuka Daizenshu Collection (loads of stuff including Mazinga Z, Getter, Reideen, Astroganger and tons more). Download it while it's still there!

Re: Old Anime and Tokusatsu Soundtracks
Quite welcome guys. RudeBeast did all of the heavy lifting getting the stuff to you though and sparked it off with his awesome Astro Mu upload!

Re: Old Anime and Tokusatsu Soundtracks
i finally got off of my lazy daisy and uploaded the Kamen Rider OST by Shunsuke Kikuchi, more cool fuzzy sci fi noises for your enjoyment.
Big thanks Michael! I'm listening now. I hope this keeps going for awhile I love hearing all of this stuff.
It's sad we don't have some sort of central storage option or we could look at dvd series too! haha

Re: Old Anime and Tokusatsu Soundtracks
no problem- the devilman and kamen rider OSTs are my favorite, so i havent really done any more hunting. but if i come across some more ill be sure to share.
maybe we could have a collective skullbrain mediafire? as far as i know they dont delete old files, there is just a limit on storage (im not sure what it is off the top of my head)
What's next? All the one's that don't really fit as Tokusatsu or Robot like Gatchaman, Yamato, and others.
These are all great by the way. Makes me wonder who will be daring enough to sing some of these at karaoke. Actually, at the bar that I go to, there is one guy that does sing some of the old anime songs like Yamato and Mazinger Z (and he's actually really good).

Re: Old Anime and Tokusatsu Soundtracks
Just some of the anime records in my collection, I also have quite a few Macross and Gundam records. Wish I had a fancy USB record player so I could share the tracks with you guys.
