Sorry not following, do you mean Target Earth has decided to retire the 2 headed sculpt they have been releasing through Medicom, and have so far released 2 versions of, or do you mean Wombat toys isn't going to produce their 2 headed figure? +1 This would be a total shame.

I mean the sculpt that Target Earth showed in the SF61, the Soto Majin not the Soto Genjin that you are talking about.

Agreed, that is a shame...that could be my second favourite 2 header after Bemon.

Never seen it before either, and agree with you Roberto!! So, who is he supposed to be plagiarizing? Mushroom man? Kaiju Ken? Other 2H? RudeBeast wrote: Pretty awesome 2h, I think I still prefer the latest wombat but I wouldn't have slept on this guy either.

 Re: Superfestival 62
Total shame, and I don't really see a strong 2 headed Bemon connection. Besides isn't the 2 headed Bemon an unlicensed character anyway. So really anyone could make the character. This kind of thinking doesn't make sense to me, maybe someone should tell Max Toy, Dream Rocket, Nakoyoshi and many others that their giant lizard toys are plagarizing Godzilla, and they shouldn't be made.
Maybe one of the SB members close to Target Earth like Kichigai, could tell TE how we feel about this sculpt on the board and that he should produce it.

 Re: Superfestival 62
Much stronger resemblance to the Uzumark figure, I had forgot about that one. I guess the Uzumark 2-headed figure, isn't an original design, it's based off of an existing monster. I'm not sure what film monster is from, i can't figure it out through translation software. But it does indeed seem to be the same Character TE just made. There's a whole post here on it, http://blog.goo.ne.jp/kadomiumtank/e/d5dae2e2466680619e5a0d6bc750756eI guess that raises the question, if the Uzumark toy is this character, is it a licensed figure, maybe since they use the image on the packaging and promotion. I don't think they would if they were bootlegging the character. Is it an unlicensed character, did TE get rights to release a licensed figure as well.... I don't know, the plot thickens.

 Re: Superfestival 62
This guy is definitely a rip, no doubt, but most of target earths stuff is I thought. I always thought it was their thing ? Still it don't think it takes away from this guy. Also it is a rip on the Uzumark figure, but not the finished small sized figure. A while ago Uzumark posted this : Now, I have no clue if it is being made, or was just a test. But its clear the TE is based off this. I really love the TE version, regardless if its a rip or not. I'd still buy it and if given the chance produce it if I could. Never enough 2 headed monsters

 Re: Superfestival 62
we try, but google translator just turns it into a soup of broken English. If you could sum it up, it would be appreciated.
And Rich I don't think that is an Uzumark toy, looks more in the style of one of those X-Plus Harryhausen figures, I'm not sure who made it, but definitely doesn't look like an Uzumark or Ilu Ilu toy. maybe they just used an image of it as inspiration or reference.

 Re: Superfestival 62
The blog post is a bit difficult to understand once translated in english but...what I'm getting out of it is that the image that Rich posted is a sculpt that IluIlu/Uzumark made to create the faux movie poster for the Beast face toy. It does make sense when you look at the faux book covers that IluIlu made for Peppy and other figures.
At least that's my understanding so far. I could be completely wrong.

At least that's my understanding so far. I could be completely wrong. so it could be an original design with faux background materials to make it look like its from a made up movie that never existed? that fuckin rules, if so.

 Re: Superfestival 62
Target Earth felt accused by Iluilu and especially Kadmiumtank blogger of ripping the jinmenju and wrote a very very long story on his blog about how Iluilu and the new hyped toy makers sucks, and that they don't have any right to accuse anyone to rip anything. If you don't think they "accused" him, you probably don't know enough about Gensho (aka TE), who is extremely "touchy".

 Re: Superfestival 62
Well, as noted in other threads, the IluIlu owner is a very talented designer as well as toy maker. On top of that he seems to have a passion for creating a faux history and mythology for his figures. I'll have to dig my box up but there are also what appear to be "film stills" on the back of the Beastface box.
It's obvious that the TE figure in question looks just like the Uzumark material. If the film poster is an elaborate faux creation, it's the Zollmen Maza iteration by T.E. all over again but with Uzumark and more blatant.

Yeah, looks like they are making a 450 Series Mechanikong, which would be 30 cm tall.
