I was never a fan of the sculpt, or the whole pre-order without seeing what you paid for release model...

but bleeding Hell, that Northern Bog looks great!

I showed pix of the paint master before we sold them. fun figure to paint. Ill be doing more.

its cancelled all together, they will not be doing a release like this any time soon.

There goes my chance to get my first Bog If they couldn't handle a no limit open run, then how about a 1 per customer run??

Obviously theyre just too busy but i dont understand how they wouldnt have known that before the first announcement... Oh well

By the tone of the newsletter it would seem a new production run is in the works for sdcc instead. Its interesting that this fig has been out for almost 2 yrs and theyre only 3 production paints (unless you count the zeroth mashup which would make 4).

Or i just had a thought, they may still be pumpin out blanks but for artist runs. I think more painters want to get a crack at em so they may have shifted focus.

For the n00bs out there, just stay tuned to bst, there have been at least 8 bogs posted and sold in just the last few months.

I think someone realized that if there was a blanks run, it would be harder to sell the artist versions for $400 dollars each because there would be a number of no name customizers making good looking customs. I like this sculpt, but the micro runs have been way over priced. Having said that they sell out in seconds so it must actually be the right price.

There may be some truth to that... i thought it a bit odd that blank bogs were being offered in black vinyl at the same time "a Northern Bog' was set to go on sale. It's black too. But it sold out super fast, so the blank ones seemed to have little effect??

The assumptions here are hilarious

Without the truth all we have left is assumptions. Not that anyone owes us a reasoning behind the cancellation. However most of us do not know every little detail that goes into the production of our favorite toys so when a last minute cacellation happens with no explanation it is only natural for people to assume there is a greater reasoning behind it. My hope is that demand was going to be high to make this a reasonable release. Only those involved know(or will every know).

I remember when they cancelled the Lucha bear shooting blanks because the owners of te rare existing black and glow unpainteds weren't happy. Could be something similar, or just to keep the hype going

I honestly just think their busy, i mean my young gohsts are still wayyyyyy behind and lulubell IS showing at SDCC which isnt so far away.

To Tj, no bog has ever been $400, skinner one offs have only been $300, and franks was $200. I think thats pretty fair for artists HPs of a figure this size. I dont think cancelling the blanks is in any way to make more money/hype or at all devious.
