Post Ultimate Grody Shogun Database on ShelfLife.net
Hey guys,

Well, I've been working with a few fellow fans for a while now on the ultimate record of Grody Shogun releases and though we're only 80% complete the time seemed ripe to unveil the potential of this sweet set of catalogs.

Here's where you can find 'em:

http://www.shelflife.net/Grody-Shogun-Ensorcelled-Man
http://www.shelflife.net/Grody-Shogun-Kara-Oji
http://www.shelflife.net/Grody-Shogun-Monster

A few notes:

1) ShelfLife tracks things down to the parts level, and we've also done our best to track variants by, for instance, ensuring you can record different versions of your Monster collection by the monster head used (given the infinite variations on some of the Monster releases, we've limited your ability to record exactly which parts you have, but you can do so using the notes feature when you "Have" something.

2) I think you'll find that this list, though incomplete, exceeds any found elsewhere on the web including the official Grody site, as we've been talking to Luke and several media sources to pull it all together. Once you contribute your comments, notes, and donate missing photos we should be able to get a near perfect record wrapped up shortly. You can report issues on the product pages directly, but feel free to hit me up via PM if you prefer.

3) I'm the official curator on most of these catalogs, but I'll happily give them up to anyone who wants to keep it rolling. You basically become the SL equivalent of a Wikipedia editor BUT you get a % of any sales made through your catalogs and you get mad Collector Wars points that lead to monthly prizes on the platform. Likewise if you want to curate something else, here's the link:

http://www.shelflife.net/curator

4) We've tried, as always, to respect copyright, but if one of your photos made it into the catalog and you don't want it there, report the issue on the product pages and it will be removed. You can also request a copyright credit, which can easily be included. Most of the photos came from Luke's provided shots or our private collections, but still.

5) There's a ton other stuff on SL to check out, but if you only care about a few product lines, you can use the pink subscribe button in the top right of most catalog pages to subscribe only to that section of the site. This will build a personalized nav for you on the left. Sweet huh?

Anyway, enjoy!...and may the Grody be with you

Cheers

James

I agree. Very ambitious. And I commend you on such an undertaking.

Realistically though- it's nowhere near 80% complete.

Just in the Monster category alone, you're missing the GID body with powder blue head/arms with pink spray/green highlights release, Mangenta, Rainbow Sherbert, Squeaky Wheel, Silver Lame with bright green unpainted, pink and black DCon unpainted, NYCC Cupie Monster with SK arms and Oji head, splash painted Monsters, unpainted splash painted monsters...

But a great start. I would go absolutely OCD crazy and stroke-out trying to accomplish this. It's making me nervous just thinking about it.
