Re: RIP James Gandolfini
The first time i saw James Gandolfini was in True Romance . . . he really caught my attention with that role. . . . . and what hasn't already been said about The Sopranos. Absolutely classic show.
R.I.P. James.

I dunno, I loved The Sopranos back when it aired, loved James Gandolfini. Then I came across the Actors Studio interview where I discovered that Gandolfini's dad came from Borgotaro, a small town in the Apennines, up in northern Italy. I was blown away as we're talking of a town with more or less 2 to 3000 inhabitants, in the same area where my parents came from (of all places...). I always thought of Tony coming from Avellino but after the Actors Studio interview I couldn't but think of Gandolfini's cultural heritage (knowing very well the area his family came from) and started seeing it in his acting. I was looking forward to seeing Gandolfini back on TV, I guess I'll watch The Sopranos for the third time.
