This is such a great figure and I love this colorway. Hoping I can keep up my streak and get this fella. I'd love to have all 3 Steven's to date.

This is the pic from Bwana's site of the pre-ordered Stevens. Supposedly, the one on the top is the same one.

I put in an order for the whole set when they were first offered. I cant remember if S7 was going to have a ghost version separate from the set.

I just went back and looked at my email confirmation for the preorder (from 09/05).

I preordered the Ghost and the Purple Nights (the top and the bottom ones pictured above).

Just sent Bwana a note for clarification on whether the preorder orange ghosts are the same as the S7 ghosts. Will let you know if I hear anything back.

Also, just went back to Bwana's site and looked at the preorder info there. The Orange ghost with sheet was definitely available for preorder then... just not clear how this fits in with the vinyl pulse announcement.

Here are the words from Bwana's site:

"steven pre-orders
9-9-2005
Pre-orders are on hold til we get a new solid date for when my little buddies will ship. Steven is the first in the My Peeples series produced by Super 7 and created by yers truly. Steven loves figs and jelly filled bagels, likes long flights by the beach, and plays drums in the metal band Soft Crusher. You can follow Steven’s daily haps and mishaps in the news section of grasshutcorp.com Bonus points. You can paypal me at rainbowmaster@earthlink.net or send a snailcheck to the address below made out to yours truly. Be sure to include which Stevens you want, and the quantity. So here is the run down. There will be 4 versions available of steven (5 if you include the sleepyeyed Super 7 subscriber version). They are all $25 each cept the ghost is $35 (if it turns out to be less you will be refunded a bit o cash). Shipping is $4 per Steven (double that for international orders). You can order as many Fig Belly and Purple Nights as you wish. Black Metal and Ghost versions are one per peep please. Steven is packaged in a sexy honeycomb box with a die-cut cave pattern and a lovely print. $25 Black metal is my God (1 per human) and yes he comes with drumsticks. Edition of 200 $25 Fig Belly Edition of 300 (+ 50 sleeping version available only thru super 7) $25 Purple Nights Edition of 200 $35 Ghost (the ghost version comes with a glowing ghost sheet for extra spookiness, again- 1 per human) edition of 100 $4 per Steven for shipping. $10 for 4 or more. Ships soon. Lastly this is for peeple orders only. For wholesale orders contact karen@super7store.com"

The VP announcement says limited to 98 pieces. The Bwana preorder stuff says 100 pieces.

If these ARE the same, unclear how the preorders fit into the total count.

Based on Bwana's response to my email: these are the same ones that were pre-ordered. I got the impression that the pre-orders were going to be satisfied, at least in part, from the Grass Hut Store allotment (and that he would have less to actually sell from the store).

Still not sure if this is exactly right, but just about positive the guys announced on VP are the same guys that were previously available for preorder.

Looking forward to these!!!

These are the ghost sheet orange version (top version on the chart). There were supposed to be 100 pieces, but there are only 98 now. Not to give the future story away, but luckily, almost this whole colorway SURVIVED. Others may not be so lucky, actually lots of others may not be so lucky..........

I am envisioning some sort of mass Steven grave that is yet to be discovered or written about. Glad that 98 of these lived!
