How long does it usually take TT to send out the dreaded S.O.L. e-mail? It's sad that over-selling is almost considered standard practice in the vinyl business.
The collectible company Gentle Giant recently messed up an ultra-limited bust release with a variety of server issues including over-selling, and guess what they did? They gave all the people who got screwed a free item AND gave them first priority for the rest of the year's ultra-limited releases. I've become so accustomed to the vinyl business that I could hardly believe it.

This colourway looks like that plastic they make glasses and jewellery out of. Tortiseshell I think it's called. Really sweet.

Finally got my set from TT, and no keychains or air "plushinators" to be seen. Did the export versions of the set just not have them or what?

My set is sposed to arrive tommorow, but I'm just as bummed that Americans who aren't crafty and able with their purchasing skills are left out of some promotions, the 13th box set being a notable incident. I only got half of them because the takeshit didn't come with a postcard. I want a yellow bonus! Being a super7 subscriber is great for SB goodies, but it doesn't quite equal an American branch of the SB fanclub, which I think would be a great thing.

How about an "International Fan Club"? Plenty of folks here who don't live in America.

yeah, Intl. Fan Club, my bad, but you feel me, I tend to be a little domestically focused. didn't mean to say only Americans should have a special fanclub.

It's all good. I think we're all hankerin for a FC that lets everyone in, especially since sales outside of Japan must make up at least 50% of SB's take.

Am I only one who was surprised to find out that the figures were "varnished" black and not a mix of black and clear orange? Don't get me wrong I still am glad I got them I just wasn’t expecting the color to have been done the way it was.

I think due to the process swirled vinyl is impossible since you'd need to produce them one at a time and clean after each one, it was covered in an in depth vinyl process thread a while ago, kozik and flynn would know for sure.

I knew it would have been painted somehow, but was hoping it was painted on the inside of the vinyl, but that would have been hard I think. Figured it would at least be like the FC Pirate. Is that what it is like?
It's been said somewhere before that swirly mixed vinyl only works for the first few then mixes till it's one gloopy colour - probably brown!

no..
my orange is acutally softer
I think the clear orange is far superior to the FC, I knew they would be paininted but the promos looked alot better imo

As cool as it sounds I'm unsure if an 'International Fan Club' wouldn't be a lil' detrimental to collecting. Making SB readily available worldwide could blow it up and kinda take the 'fun' and 'thrill of the chase' out of it.
Too much of a good thing can sometimes take the edge off annd the politics of how it's set up can have a negative effect . . . the 'Thundermutt Club' over on the 'darkside' is a case in point
