Ummmmmm. There are toy shops in NYC. I really don't know of any in jersey. Some comic shops might carry some random stuff, but nothing crazy. How far north are you going? Because New York is only a train ride away.

Don't think I will be hitting up NYC this trip.
Have been to all the NYC spots a few times this year.
Thanks

No good toy shops spring to mind (the dearly departed, kaiju-carrying Outer Limits was in Clifton, NJ, not exactly near the shore), but if you're into comics (and depending on what part of the shore you'll be at), a trip to Steve's Comic Relief in Toms River would be worth your while.

Have fun!

Funny I'm going to NJ shore to visit family this week also! Well outside Philly this week, NJ shore by next weekend into the following week. Funny someone mentioned Outer Limits, I'm pretty sure I went there a long time ago when i lived in NJ. I had relatives in Clifton.

There's a toy store on the Wildwood boardwalk, though mostly action figures. There's a shop down by Cape May called The Artist's Eye that's ok. Nothing really in terms of designer toy type stuff in NJ. The House of Fun in NJ close to Philly is rad, and I've heard good things about Suburban Vinyl in north Jersey.

Thanks everyone for the info, bookmarked some into my phone. Looks like I also might head into Philly for a day. Any places in that area worth looking into?

Nothing fun toy-wise in Philly anymore. Enjoy your trip though.
