For what it is worth, I know John has had a lot of stuff to deal with in 'real world' so toys and such have had to take a backseat. I am not saying you have no right to be upset or impatient when you don't get an answer, just trying to say I doubt his intent is to rip you off. Hope it gets worked out for you guys.

kichigai sent me. He is unbowed apparently for his behavior that led to this thread. Everyone makes mistakes, and deserves a second chance, but does he deserve it when he lashes out over honest questions regarding his transactions as posted by Slack?

I would maintain that all the words in this thread that lead to him fulfilling his obligations to Slack are NOT useless. Seems like our words got some action from him. Let's see if kichigai's public post holds once Slack sees it, as Joe did not put details in his post, instead he just wanted to warn everyone of a potential problem. Hopefully all will turn out well.

From what kichigai has posted, yes it's deserved. He wasn't ripping slack, there was no money involved. A piece was offered as a thank you to slack.

After your verbose intro to posting Kichigai's pm publicly, I was expecting something a bit more compromising than just a relatively calm comeback to your initial post, which immediately insinuated that he was a scammer without even knowing the details of the transaction concerned. Awkward.

Awkward? Really? Because I made the comment, "Another one bites the dust." ? Come on, that's a stretch. Where do I say he is a scammer? However, I do trust that whatever Slack says is true, and think everyone should appreciate his post, rather than seemingly now turning on him, as was my impression from Ironpaw's post, which mischaracterizes what kichigai posted (When is a promise of something "free" when it is part of an agreement, a contract, that allows for payments over time as consideration in exchange for the item? If this is even the situation, as kichigai explains it.). And comparing him to Glenn Pogue, who I still believe is an honest person who got tied up in his life problems, and, like kichigai, delayed shipping several items for months, was a compliment, from my perspective, compared to comparing him to an actual scammer who never made good. Glenn did disappear from the board, and "bit the dust", so to speak. Apparently, kichigai's problems are taking him away too, as would be reasonable. Anyway, Glenn eventually made good on his promises, or so I am told, and that is what matters. I wished the same for kichigai.

I am a litigation attorney and if I want to call someone a scammer, I can and will be much more dramatic and direct. All I see is a bunch of (perhaps valid) excuses from someone who by his own admission did not perform his promises yet as promised. Again, we are all human, and this happens when life intrudes sometimes harshly on our toy posting heaven, but for him to send me a PM because I made a post in this thread shows that he took this vindictively, and I believe, shows that he has not learned any humility and has no real remorse for his own apparent failure to perform his promise to Slack.

Are any of you saying it's fine for someone to wait several months to do something promised? That Slack had to post this because kichigai was not checking his PM's? Well, had kichigai kept him in the loop, I am sure that Slack would not have felt the need to try to contact him to begin with, let alone him not answering the PM's. The failures seem to be fully on kichigai, and his problems, not on Slack.

I have offered Joe my full services gratis should kichigai not now perform as promised, if I can help, as I offered help to others on this board who were genuinely scammed in the past.

I have no clue what your personal beef with Kichigai is, but the way you're so eagerly jumping on this opportunity to publicly scrutinize him without being directly involved just feels extremely weird and awkward afaic.

No one here is directly involved in the transaction between slack and kichigai. But we are all board members free to post in response to it. I would probably have posted nothing more but my hopes for resolution of this but for kichigai's PM to me, and the post by Ironpaw which made it seem this whole situation was Slack's fault for not sending him a personal email to prod him to make good his several month's old promises. That was unjust. Kichigai obviously caused this situation, and he has the responsibility to resolve it. Other than that, I wished good luck in its resolution, as I still do. Do you have a different, argumentative agenda?

One might better ask why you see the need to defend him to the extent you are, despite his own admission of not fulfilling his promises for months? Strange and awkward from you? Or is this another case of treatment of certain people with kid gloves because of who they are??? Hypocritical, not?
