Anyone else enjoying these photo comps from Documerica Project that Atlantic has been putting up?:

I love the 1970's more than any other decade. Some of these photos really capture the moments.

I agree and thanks for posting these! The 70's always look so gritty. I love the Foxy Brown poster on the subway platform and the cop on a scooter.

Yes, thanks for posting. I no longer live in Manhattan, that first New York link brought me back. I like the two photos of Central Park it was and still is indeed a great spot with excellent views, I remember wandering in just in time to catch a couple of concerts though I spent most of the time downtown in 1970's Greenwich Village, the creative hub. The city was quite different back then, at 14 years old I could get into most any club or bar I wanted to, the streets were so lively and dancing in Washington Square park went on sometimes into the wee hours of the morning, now its blockaded with an early curfew. Those days were wild many did not survive it. The 1970's were indeed an amazing decade.

Looked up pics of my home country in the 1970's and remembering how much it's changed from when I was last there (1997-1998).

What a great series. The Chicago ones are fantastic. I am looking forward to more of these to come. Such cultural history.
