I'm super excited to see this piece finally hitting the streets ! I don't take much credit for it but I did the little LEGO details on the model and then some in the background : )

Yeah, really underwhelming, The Simpsons thing... As is their other new CN line. But hey, less temptation, and there's already way more cool stuff than I can afford/display.
I'm not a huge fan of series 11 either, but there are a few cool figures, such as the yeti!
In honour of Lego surpassing Hasbro today to become the world's second largest toy company, I thought I would share yet another ingenious MOTU theoretical line that just needs to be fully realised in some kind of 'block' form. Click through for more pics
How did I miss this thread? Lego was a big part of my life for a couple years, I've recently cooled off though. I simply ran out of things to build. My flickr stream contains all my starfighters and things: http://www.flickr.com/photos/36405178@N07/
Here's probably my favorite thing I've built:

Wow, those are amazing! You've got a lot of talent, sir!
Hey, thanks a lot, man. I really enjoyed the hobby when I was into it and I had a lot of free time to dick around with them.

I've never understood the attraction of MotU, but still, wow!
Sacrilige!!!
Nah, I can see that, they were definitely a dumb toy line with stupider commerical cartoon tie-in, but when you grow up with the stuff, you see past all the obvious flaws. And the MOTU 'world' certainly lends itself to some classic fantasy characters that would well in Lego. At least, I would prefer seeing these to the newer licenses, but they have to sell the youth market first, which makes sense [even if collectors are filling their pockets ].
Got my SW advent calendar already ! Orders of 50$ on Star Wars / 75$ overall gets you the Clone minifig, the mini VW camper & shipping for free from LEGO shop

How much was the advent calendar? And, since I have got to ask, does it feature a lot of prequel (blech!) and Clone Wars stuff?

Check on Brickset, the whole thing is spoiled there. I ordered stg to get the mini camper myself... But am waiting till October to order the Advent Calendars so I can get the bonus Xmas sets!
...and I must shamefully admit I am now buying Lego on YJA of all places.
