Post Labor Day custom toy!
I figure I should post this here...there may be more appropriate subforums, but this is probably a very niche thing for skullbrain...

In honor of Labor Day, I'm selling a very special custom-painted "Powered Suit Fake Type" my buddy Mason painted up in RX-78-2 Gundam colors:

If you're interested, details are on my blog. Thanks for looking!

Man, this is sweet Sanjeev! I love the microman suit too, but always loved the Diaclone drivers. So by selling, you mean this is a one off, or a small series you guys did together?

You and me both, Steve. I never really got into Micronauts as a kid (though the chrome heads and clear bodies DID drive me insane...from afar)...but Diaclone was the shit! I remember having Gats Blocker--which in reality, is a pretty terrible toy! LOL But I loved the shit outta that set. And a big part of that magic was the driver figures!

So...I haven't really mentioned it here on skullbrain, but I'm basically bootlegging the Diaclone Powered Suits by reverse-engineering them in CAD. They're not available to the public yet, but I'm going to be selling two different versions via my Shapeways store. The "DX" version will feature 3D-printed stainless steel bodies and shoulders and everything else in high-resolution plastic. Obviously because they're printed to order, they won't come painted; they'll look like this:

There's gonna be an "ST" version that I'm still working on that's gonna be done completely in low-resolution (but super-strong and full-color) plastic.

Anyway, what you see above is one of the DX figures custom painted by my buddy, Mason, who's an experienced wargaming miniature painter...and, of course, Japanese robot fan!
