That is what I thought of Hot Fuzz. Still going to see it, Simon Pegg looks like such a scumbag.

There were a couple good laughs. I expected more funny though. So-so in my book as well.

Hands down the best part of the movie is when Simon Pegg yells "What the Fuck does WTF mean?!" I nearly spit up soda.

Haha yep Chris, that was hilarious! I also loved when Andy said, "tummy" instead of "stomach." Laughed super hard at that, but I may have been the only person in the theater that thought that was funny.

I really enjoyed it and loved it when Nick Frost's character started drinking. Hilarious.

Probably way better then most of the shit that's out there these days.

I'm hoping these guys continue to make movies together.

Haha . . . actually, the word 'Tummy' is commonly used in the UK by people of all ages.

Like saying 'I need a wee' (or pee) when you need to urinate is a similar diminutive term.

Finally has been released here yesterday!
I loved it! It was not as funny as Shaun but it was on par with Hot Fuzz I think.
The Cornetto gag was my favorite - I had totally forgotten that Cornetto was still missing at that point.

Cannot wait for Wright's Ant Man.

Oh sweet, I didn't realize he's directing Ant Man! That's rad!

I also had no idea what Cornetto was until just now. Is that something that was widely understood and I just missed it, or is it more of an obscure inside joke?

Post Re: The World's End
They advertised these movies as the 'Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy' (Or 'Cornetto Trilogy') from the very beginning.
There are three original flavors of Cornetto and each movie has one scene that features one flavor.
So it was just something you would get if you were in the know (and have been looking forward to this for quite a while). The way they did it in World's End was just perfect.

Yeah, they showed some Ant Man test footage during SDCC, here is the clip:

*edit: found a better clip

I wonder if they only advertised them as the Cornetto or Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy in Europe / the UK. I don't remember hearing anything about that stuff in the States.

I do not think that they did in TV spots or trailers over here either but they always did in interviews and such.

I watched this the other day...I enjoyed it, but didn't really think it was that funny. There were only 2 scenes were I laughed out loud.

Who knows, maybe I went with the perfect group of people. You know how sometimes you see a movie with one person and it's kind of bleh, but then you see it with someone else who loves it and it makes you love it more? Maybe it was like that. I was laughing out loud a LOT.
