I thought the end tied it all up nicely. I thought there would be a smidge more dialogue between Walt & Jesse but then again what else was left to say right?

Yikes, it might be years before another show fills the void left behind by Breaking Bad in terms of quality TV I can really get into.

I really enjoyed when he spoke to Skylar and pointed out that he felt alive doing it. Like, he could have spent the last year and a half just living in and out of hospitals dying of cancer, or he could have done what he did and enjoyed himself even if it's in the worst possible way destroying lives. Also, the last good bye being to the lab and science. So perfect. He seemed truly happy to see it all one last time.

Great ending!

I love the way that even though Walt made meth bigger then it was before he started cooking, he was able to take down the largest distribution channel(s) of it.

In his own way he did (100x) more then the government and the DEA did for the war of drugs (Meth).

Oh man, where to start... In case anyone has yet to see it i'll put a spoiler tag on it.

I loved so many aspects of the episode,

Walts behavior towards the Schwartzs and the bit of comic relief by our favorite Rosencrantz and Guildenstern duo was genius.

The way the camera pans out to reveal Walt after Skyler and Marie have their 1:1,000,000 shot was amazing. And Walt's true intentions finally coming to light end his mountain of lies.

Lydia got what she deserved and so did the Neo Nazi's. Jack getting killed mid sentence the same way Hank went out was a clever callback. Jesse getting to Todd was gratifying. Seeing them standing face to face at the end made me think of the beginning and thinking just how far they've come, how fucked up things got.

And finally Walt's death, having tied up everything nicely. It was not all for nothing. And dying inside his lab, his chemistry, his love, his Felina. It's poetic.

I'm wondering if anyone who saw it didn't like it..

edit. no need for a spoiler tag

Nicely said. Despite all the murders, the moral balance in the end was about as perfect as could be. The writers did such a good job with wrapping things up that the major unanswered question, "what happens next to Jesse?" doesn't need to be answered. With this series, it's okay that the viewers get to speculate, as opposed to the widespread frustration that the ambiguous ending of "The Sopranos" elicited.

Perfect ending.

The term 'paint by numbers' comes to mind and I don't mean that in a derogatory sense at all. If you followed the clues all season long it kept falling into place as the episode went along. They tied up every major plot point. It was so workmanlike in some respects, but through the whole thing it was poignant and fulfilling.

Kind of like balancing reactions/ equations in chemistry! Sorry I'm currently taking chemistry and couldn't help the comparison.

Definitely a perfect ending.

Awesome. And my wife pointed out in the lyrics of "El Paso" played through the episode, the main character in the song noticed as he's riding a pain in his side as he'd been shot. JUST LIKE FUCKING WALT ZOMG!!!!!!!11!!!!

Eh, I didn't love it.

Pretty much everything I predicted to happen did. No " oh shit " moments like when Walt ran over those two drug dealers.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the commercial breaks which seemed like they came every 5 minutes. Don't remember there being so many during past episodes. On talking bad VG mentioned a scene where Walt runs into a former student who recognizes him and then Walt tries to intimidate / pay him off to keep quiet, then asks what he thought of him as a teacher. Would have loved to see that scene but guess you have to save something for the boxed set.

Post Re: I heart Breaking Bad
I don't think the finale really called for any "oh shit" moments, really. As mentioned above, the better part of what we were shown last night was the fruition of story points methodically seeded for us throughout the final run. All of the major jolts had already been dolled out, what remained was the need for a satisfying coda; and I think we got just that in spades. The emotional notes were what was important.

That said, I won't deny getting plenty of satisfaction in seeing Walt's trunk machine in action; and sure, we all knew that Lydia would be ripping open her last packet of Stevia, but I'm glad I got to listen in on that intercepted phone call... plus the humidifier was a hilarious touch! The whole episode was littered with little jolts of both recognition and pleasing surprise; from the classic dramatic trope of Walt being revealed in the kitchen scene; to the classic comedy trope of the ace assassins turning out to be Tweedle Pete and Tweedle Badger. Good shit.

Nice call on the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern aspect, Brobles! Can't believe that never occurred to me.

I really loved that they left no loose ends of people who might be looking/hunting down Jesse. It's nice to picture him finding peace in a new life.

reading reviews and analyses on the web, it looks like there's some who think the end was compromised because Walt died on his own terms and as more of a hero than anything else. Can't please everyone I guess.

When I saw what Walt Jr was wearing in this finale I was wondering what Camo had to do with the color symbolism in the show?
Maybe Flynn was preparing a sneak attack on Cap 'N Crunch!

Finally watched it, and I couldn't be happier. Perfect ending, and they played El Paso throughout the episode. I honestly have no complaints about it.
Walt owned up to Skyler, Lydia finally died, Jesse Killed Todd, Walt killed Jack.
I was even a little surprised especially seeing
Badger, and Skinny Pete
Im so glad it ended how it did. Brought it all together. I'm now gonna go read a book or something because I have no TV to look forward to. Breaking Bad is absolutely my favorite show of all time. Does ANYONE have a complaint about this ending?

Thanks Vince Gilligan you broke TV.

Great ending . . . i dont have any complaints really. So glad Jesse got his revenge on that blonde psycho.

Right at the end when Walt is looking at the lab, i thought he was gonna cook 'one last batch' for old times sake . . . .

I thought he was going to actually do a fatal dose of his own baby blue! (I assume you can OD on meth). He had the gut-shot anyway, why not kill the pain? Haha, that would be the worst. Let me know if you need more horrible alternate ending suggestions.

Best show on TV & I enjoyed the finale. Glad WW didn't rot in some lost cabin & went out strong.

I too thought he was going to start one last batch.

lol, walt going out on a meth OD would have been pretty nuts as well.

I feel complete. I felt his pain when he asked to see Holly one last time. He knew this was the last time he'd see his little girl. that hit me on a personal level cause I'd hate to be in that situation. it was great. I barely got to watch it last night cause of some plans I had to do Sunday. it was pretty crazy staying away from Facebook/Instagram/ etc... I basically had to go off the grid so that no one could spoil the ending for me.

When and how did Walt slip the poison to Lydia?

And what was Jack saying when Walt shot him?
