 Re: NYCC 2013 Hauls
I felt it's just too much and doing the trend of marbled to the ridiculous. I didn't like the color combos personally, what I did like is that finally someone did this and we can all see how much of a fade it is. Take the swirl kumons, those looked amazing with 2 colors, 3 even. But this potpourri of colors just gives me a migraine.
Overall, marbled is the new double pour and while I don't really like this one toy, I am interested to see what new creative doors it opens.

 Re: NYCC 2013 Hauls
I'd have to disagree with this one. When pics began to surface many people (including myself) thought they were painted. The technique itself is very interesting and the process is difficult. We probably won't be seeing a full run of any figure with multiple marbles. I for one am excited to see what other figures might get this treatment. Some of the marble pours (who am i kidding, most!) came out extremely beautiful.

Scary Andy wrote: 1 of 12 one-off multi coloured marble pulls . . . no 2 were alike! Yep. They used some type of new marbling process. I was talking to Amy and she said the word "meltdown" for the process is inaccurate. She had misinformation on the newsletter that went out as there are 3 new types of marbling: meltdown, tie-dye(the kuumons), and another I forget at the moment. There was only 1 Rexx that was disappointing. It was like 90% flesh tone, like the pre-order version...and 10% colored marble. It was so similar to the solid flesh version, I didn't think it warranted the $250 tag..but someone did buy it, eventually. The autopsy babies seemed to use a similar technique. I regret not getting more than 1..but there is supposed to be more for d-con. This were definitely a surprise purchase for me. I got mostly an all black version. An understated colorway to make sure I liked the figure.

 Re: NYCC 2013 Hauls
I saw a couple other toys with this new marbling method. I believe that the Old Ones, and Autopsy Babies were both treated this way, or am I mistaken?

 Re: NYCC 2013 Hauls
I guess 'marbling' is a misnomer . . . more like spot pours!

 Re: NYCC 2013 Hauls
Part of me likes the "marbling" on these and part of me doesn't. I think making them mixed part was the part I didn't like. If they were marbled crazy and all the pieces worked together I would have liked them a lot more. A lot of the heads look spectacular but almost look like they ran out of time to marble the entire figure properly so we got mixed parts. For such a big and detailed toy it just doesn't work for me. In contrast the autopsy babies and kumons all look fantastic.

 Re: NYCC 2013 Hauls
Totally got the autopsy baby and kumon too done with the melt down marbling. Yeah these are sick. I did like a few of the rotten rexx done in the melt down vinyl. I really dug it.

Rexx and autopsy babies where my favorite releases this year. Can't wait to see Dski_1's version of rotten rexx come to life. These are 2 great new toys I'm after:)

 Re: NYCC 2013 Hauls
In fourth grade, a classmate puked her Cookie Monster birthday cake all over my green cargo pants, these all remind me of that. Lol.
I really like how chunky the toy is. Such a shelf hog, but so cool. Great score.
I still couldn't care less about the marbling.
