Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
I gotta give it to Luke. Im sure he sculpts like a mad man, all the other toys that gets sent to lulu for production and after that I doubt many of us would want to do more sculpting. His sprays have gotten better and better as time goes by and him and ricky sure do a lot for the industry.
I hope he gets sometime off to make some new cool characters, we all know for the price and work he puts on his toys, nobody can beat him.
Zapatoloco, that new en-man head is great. Moloch is such a cool looking character.

Although I enjoy this new head on the E Man body as well, it seems the mismatched proportions of the Moloch head on the Monster body really works, imo. Can't wait to play with one.

STUNNING. Yes, I very much agree, best Grody release in some time. I almost danced a jig when I saw this one.

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
Are there any Karakuri releases with unpainted clear heads/bodies? Or even painted.. I love the sculpt/textures for painting, the Kaiju Korner Glowdy Kara release is one of my favorite toys ever due to the paint application...such a good use of the sculpt/texutre. It's pretty inspiring.
Or Ojisan, just less interested in the Ojisan head...

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
Otanoshimi blind packs... What are the odd that I will get enough pieces to make anything cool (something more than a duck with a babby head) if I buy one of these packs. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it doesn't look like one of these packs would actually make a mash-up figure.

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
Maybe a few small ones like you described, but not likely to get a mashup that you might see Luke put out. However, some in the past have made some great looking mashups by getting creative with all of the pieces, but you have to be willing to pull out an exacto knife and maybe some kind of adhesive to pull it off. Here's a badass piece from shankweather, but from the pics I've seen of these new bags, it will be a stretch to come close to this one... Shankweather wrote: Making the most of my Otanoshimi bag.

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
^ Definitely some knife work involved with this one. I bought two bags so the pieces you see are a mix of those two. I already had that body and one arm. There were a few more nice pieces, including a Karakuri body in each bag, that ended up with other people. The pics of the new bags show some nice stuff but no bodies to build on.

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
Well that rules out what would otherwise be a great concept . I love the idea of blind boxing interchangeable parts for a toy and I'm surprised i haven't seen it done more. I wanted to make a hellbox toy too, but from what I can tell they are all sold out, but the heads.

This guy looks great! Loads of detail and very nice paint app - I was hoping for one with the mouse on the hat but I'm really pleased with this one and will just pretend the "Doom" is a shout to one of my favorite MCs More pics below
