 Tis the season .... for package theft. Not sure if there is a thread about this sort of thing , so feel free to delete / move this if needed. Anyway , had a package stolen off front porch on Wednesday. It was left by UPS & I wrongly assumed I needed to sign for it.
So this is just a reminder to everyone to be extra careful about your packages , especially this time of year.

i had stufs taken from my porch etc.
i ended up putting the entire contents
of a 2 week cycle of cat turds outside
it was outside my door in a box marked
"special delivery" sure enuf it was taken!
has not happened since then but it still
happens locally, my advice get a p.o. box
@carlisle60 what was the stolen toy btw?

Re: Tis the season .... for package theft. @kichigai ... was not toys , but some early christmas shopping ( books, boardgames, etc). Over $100 worth of stuff I had on pre-order a good while.
Most of the time I get packages at Post Office ( they have lost 1-2 as well), but this one came by UPS.
But anyway, no one wants anything stolen from them, so I posted this as a friendly reminder for everyone to be extra careful.

Happens here all the time. UPS and Fedex have some deal with my local post for deliveries. I've been using a P.O. Box for a couple years and love it. I'd always get stressed on big packages because they keep leaving them without me signing. In most places this will not help with Fedex and UPS deliveries.

But they give you a special addy.
