Lovely pic D! I am amazed at what a great photo you were able to take at night. Love the way this looks, with the brightly lit up toys against your deck, and the falls leaves are just perfect.
An excellent study in scale of M1, and some beautiful toys too.

My mind has been blown! Amazing stuff, I'm especially going nuts for that pair of T28's. Perhaps my blank Black Ox would fit in better on your shelves.

Re: Show the love for M1-GO!
@ purple bat - John, those guys are all loose - that is, not permanently attached to the base. They were all released in separate forms as individual figures, but a few of these were available combined in themed sets (e.g. Ultra-Q, Ultraman) from M1 with a wooden base, that typically has some label for the anniversary or festival it was commemorating. The only guy that I think was permanetly fixed to the base was the Garamon with Tokyo Tower set, and the glue is very noticeable as large 'blobs' around the feet and tower base. Even with this though, you will almost certainly find ones that have come off the base (which seems like it might be a bad thing, but I actually prefer) as the glue and vinyl did not bind strongly. It seems a common occurence as it ages. Here is my version. You can see the glue pretty clearly; I would never try to remove it, as it doesn't bother me that much, but I like that I can take ol' Gary off and play with him.

Some ass turd was recently charging a mint for one on evil bay, no way I was going to bite. Always nice to see a pic here anyhow. Does he have standing issues? Looks like he might. Too bad that said ass turd seems to have gotten his asking price! Rrrrr. Yeah, the Manute Bol of Ultrasculpts definitely has some problems keeping himself upright. If you want him to stand on his own you have to pose him in a kind of bow, with his upper torso slightly forward and his legs slightly askew. Lots of fairly easy fixes for that when you're displaying him on a high shelf, though: At my last place he spent most of his time with his feet - in booties made of baggies - plunged into a brick of floral foam: With a row of shorties in front of him I never even noticed the prop until it was time to dust. ultrakaiju wrote: Lovely pic D! An excellent study in scale of M1, and some beautiful toys too. Thanks, Steve! I can always count on you for a little appreciation... all I can see is what I wanted the pic to look like. This one creeps me out a little bit:

Ah, that is a great one too - very ominous and foreboding. Perfectly creepy and suited to this time of year. The brightly lit leaf in the foreground sets it all off. Blair Witch would have been much more interesting re-made with vinyl toys. Actually, come to think of it, put any of these classic creatures (the originals I mean) in that movie in B&W, haunting the woods, and I would go watch that film multiple times over.

Ahh figured as much. As soon as I saw your pic, I immediately thought to myself if that was mine I'd have taken a blow dryer to that left leg. Get it nice an malleable, run it under cold water, maybe get a temp fix for a little bit. I notice vinyl tends to reset no matter how many times I do this. Your solution works, since he's so tall and often found lurking in the back of people's collections. Good thing about hero toys are that they have 4 poseable limbs- usually and you can try to work some magic adjusting the lean, with the arms serving as a balance. Be thankful you don't collect Zollmen, because 90% of their toys lean forward.

Lovely faeries David! They look just great in the woods, only place they might be posed better is on a tropical island. Best beware of the wrath they are calling down on your backyard though.

Oh the root thing was a gift from a friend who thought I'd like to use it for my toy pics. They were right!
