Where can you show me that this is the going rate? Who is it going to? Show me comparable sales.

Or are you just guessing. If you are not guessing, back it up, so at least I know whether or not Lev screwed me.

You overpaid. its not a sin, we have all overpaid at some point.

Bomb the cat was 'high price' when it came out 5 years ago or so, then the market got flooded and prices dropped. Theres not that many medicom collectors anymore, over-all all medicom prices have plummeted.

Lev probably got it back then, slapped the price on it and it sat. He has a great shop, but a lot of his stuff is overpriced.

no one is casting any negative aspersions on you about thi, its just that 250 for that is not realistic.

I have to agree about Lev and his shop.

Dont know the guy persoanly but go to Toy Tokyo and you will see some items are way outt wack. If you have no clue you can get ripped easily.

But in return some items are spot on or underpriced.

Got any data on what it is going for?

Know how many were made (other than a ton). I was lead to believe that there were 50 of them.

I would prefer something other than anecdotal evidence if there is any.

I know that this was selling in the $200 to $300 range at shops in Japan and overseas like Rough, One-up, and some other places. I did quite a bit of searching and research on it a while back. It is archived and I will dig it up.

I don't recall ever seeing it end up selling for anything like $50. That doesn't mean that it didn't happen, but I do have an auto eBay search for this figure (as I do for many items in my collection).

agreed Lash. i passed on a few items at Nerdquake because i thought they were a bit out of whack.

cool stuff, and people can ask what they want for items, but sometimes they're just too overpriced.

Probably best to let the ebay search finder do its job... they'll pop up sooner or later. Like I said, I saw at least three or four of them over the past few months.

the obvious solution is to list it on ebay and see what happens. stick it on there for 250 BIN.

markets change. My girlfriend paid 800.00 for the letters bears for baerbrick series 1.

cant give em away 4 years later. these things happen.

Here is one for sale at One Up in Tokyo for 24,800 yen.

http://home.att.ne.jp/aqua/one-up/medicom%20toy%20p.htm

Is it possible that the cheaper ones you are seeing are bootlegs?

Again, it was my impression that there were only 50 made.

also one for 17,000 and one for 12,000

so..is it worth 24,000 or 12,000?

no one knows.

List it for sale at the price you want and see what happens.

One up is the most over priced place I went to in Tokyo, that is why they still have lots of things in stock.

throw it up on ebay, I doubt you will sell it on here after all this.

It appears to be selling now at One Up in Tokyo for 24800 yen (they have 3 of them for sale - this is for the new one without missing pieces).
