Thank you Chris! I remember seeing two GIGANTIC Kitty Fires in the old S7 store. Not vintage, but still impressive. I would love to have the S7 issue with the Tiger 7 article. Not sure what issue though...

For some reason every time I think of Kitty Fire I think of that weird crazy photo with *ahem saying" Geo posted a long long time ago. Unfortunately stuck in my brain. The Tiger 7 article is in issue #9, the one with Mazinger and a Biskup toy on it (orange). I have all the issues now except 5, 8, 12, 14. So if you want to know whats in a specific issue PM me.

I think I learn something new every time I read a back issue of Super7. It would be great if we could have all of the issues reprinted in a single book.

It's also nice that the articles often include checklists and will tie in any lingering thoughts you had about boots etc (usually for me from constant auction watching). I do recall Brian saying the next Mook was going to be all about heroes. Hopefully that will see the light of day, maybe even with articles from older issues expanded/updated.

It was so nice to have a few to look forward to each month. Of course Brian & company probably stopped for a lack of material to cover, much like Pachi Summit. Once you have exhausted past subjects, it would just turn into something like Lowbrownie.

They stopped because the magazine turned into a yearly or twice a year (can't remember) Mook, not for lack of material. With vintage alone you could all out encyclopedia britannica and still have more to talk about.

I'm not sure this is vinyl, it's heavy like a bowling ball. Thanks to fett42 for doing the legwork on this for me.

You can see I only got into the magazine well after it ceased. I wish someone would produce encyclopedic books on these toys in English. I'm constantly discovering new toy lines!

I would have definitely bought that too if I had come across it. Completely bizarro and appealing on many levels. Too bad there is no mushroom house, that must be the matching set you need to track down.

^^ That thing is unfathomably awesome. So hilarious, depressing and just utterly bizarre all at once that it reminds me very much of the ending to Herzog's Stroszek: EDIT: I can't stop looking at it. While I usually don't care much for backstories, I'd love to learn what's the deal with the "Animals Mill" - why do a rabbit and a lamb mill grain? What the fuck does a monkey do in those dark woods? Do they all have to slave at the mill so they won't be mauled by its owner, Mr. Bear? This is the Lego Auschwitz of animal playsets.
