Post wilco stap warning...
so, about 6 years ago, on a action figure collecting forum, their was this man by the name of wilco stap that robbed a bunch of people in trades. there are multiple threads on that forum about him (screen name otaking). http://actionfiguresca.proboards.com is the forum, but i don't think you can read the threads on him unless you are a member. ANYWAYS, i frequent a facebook VHS collecting group, and this same cat robbed a good collector friend for about $75 worth of horror posters. i creeped his facebook wall and saw that one of his interests were vintage kaiju and monster toys. so, reading that, i wanted to give skullbrainers a warning, if he hasn't stalked and raped you all already...

Post Re: wilco stap warning...
And here I was expecting some Wilco news. This is much more depressing. The VHS collecting community is very prominent, there is even a strong Montreal contingent, so hopefully someone can manage to track this guy down. I can't say as I recall anything about him, but somehow the screenname does seem familiar to me, I feel that I might have seen it on the bay or somewheres. I am really tired of hearing stories like this. Being a general internet asshat is one thing, but this blatant criminal behaviour and taking advantage of collecting communities is pissing me off. It soils the friendly interactions and trust that keep all of our hobbies going. :?

Thanks for posting this warning SLM. Always nice to see you back on the board, even if it is for rather unfortunate circumstances like this.
