 Re: "cute " vinyls
[quote="The Moog"]This cheeky little chap was made by Combex in England . . . . probably 1950's. Another figure with a weird centre of balance that stands just fine! Baby Brawler by The Moog Image Dump, on Flickr Your lucky to have this one Moog its a cool toy. I used to have it too it was given to me as a pair I still have the girl. Will post a pic. The little chap got covered in an evil sticky mould, I was too scared to try and save him. I also think (might of imagined it) that I once saw a white version with blonde hair. I often try to decide if that is a real memory.

^^ Yes, it was a real memory! Here's someone on flickr who has the white one. I think its quite rare because i've seen the black one pop-up on ebay loads of times but i've never seen the white one for sale anywhere . . . group by vanessayoung3, on Flickr

Don't know what the tanuki is but this is a character from the NHK puppet show Goo Choco Lantan. Apparently his name is "Spoo". http://www.nhk-character.com/chara/gutyoko/

Man, i got one of those myself a few weeks ago! (The Banana Mouse) Mine is basically the same, but it has some text on it too. AND the plug hole at the bottom was stamped "Made in Hong Kong".

 Re: "cute " vinyls
^^^^ ...man, it says: "I'm tired of eating!" in a real cool carnie-esque font on the side o the banana underneath the mouse. Then just "Made in Hong Kong" is moulded into the plastic on the orange stopper on the bottom. Post a pic tomorrow.

 Re: "cute " vinyls
^^ Cool, i wonder if that was done at the factory or someone customised it . . . .
Mine just say 'Made in Hong Kong' on their stoppers too.

Haha, to be fair its his dog-dish you blow into . . . . but i suppose thats just as bad. i'm not mental . . . . i did at least give it a cursory wipe with a soggy tea-towel before testing the whistle.
