I think it's going to be a long time before any toy tops the ALIEN figures, and it's in large part due to the authenticity of the sculpt. So, do we know who sculpted all those great toys? If so, may I suggest that Mr. Flynn and Co. hop a plane to Ohio or wherever and inform this guy that modern enthusiasts are hostile and demanding, and cannot allow him rest. Personally, I'm happy to be getting some era-correct toys like Snake Plisskin and Freddie/ Jason, no matter who sculpts them. Snake is going fuck up my G.I.JOE collection's day. I can see it now...

Re: SUPER7's ALIEN ReAction Figures!
Okay, the sheer numbers and lackluster thought put into these is now really diminishing the line as a whole. I mean, Goonies is still one of my favourite movies, but come on, nobody wants to buy a Chunk action figure, especially if it doesn't have a truffle shuffle action feature.

I get the feeling it's become more of a Funko thing now than a Super7 thing..

It all looks like a manager at Funko said "That'll do" to a half-assed first attempt at prototypes, then they rushed to get the figures out into production. I don't remember the Kenner figures from the 70s looking as cartoony as these do. Yes, they were basic compared to the mullti-articulated figures we are used to now, and their face sculpts left a fair bit to be desired at times, but they were recognisable as humans and not animated characters. I was so looking forward to these. Though only Zoe looks anywhere near OK. http://io9.com/these-first-official-firefly-action-figures-are-not-par-1523177283

Re: SUPER7's ALIEN ReAction Figures!
I go into my local comic shop and theres an entire wall of Funko Pop figures that haven't moved in months... thats what I see with these toys. They'll blow out of the gate and then sit for years.

I'll assume this was for the Alien line only. (pilfered from Brian's IG)

I gotta say the licensing must have been crazy to achieve for these. Congrats on that. I really do hope these do well. I personally plan on grabbing a predator or 2 to go with my alien figures.

Nail. On the head. I think this might have actually been based from his 'disguise' outfit in Willow.

Call me crazy, but I think Val really wears those '80s mom jeans well... Quality over quantity. That idea seems to have been lost here... In lieu of echoing the majority of sentiments, I'll just re-quote toothaction. toothaction wrote: Yeesh. At least these all serve to highlight how excellent the Alien toys are.

^^^^perfect hahahaha
Some of these look disappointing, but I saw the mock ups for the Universal Monster line today and they don't look that bad. They look campy, but not bad enough to not want them.
