 Re: Sochi 2014 Olympics
So you have got to hand it to the Dutch. Find something you are good and really focus on it. Ten medals already this olympics (for having sent only 41 athletes) and 92 of their total 96 medals in Winter Olympics history coming from speed skating. I don't know if it is crazy genes, excellent training programs, or a lot of support (or any combination thereof), but no matter what, that is some serious dedication. I salute you, Netherlands. (now push over and make some room on the podium! )

 Re: Sochi 2014 Olympics
Thanks ultrakaiju . Yeah we can't complain, we're doing pretty good at the moment:) I'm Dutch so it's pretty nice to seeing your country winning all those medals in the Olympics. I'm curious which country going to win the most medals this time.

 Re: Sochi 2014 Olympics
Is anyone else on the point of having an aneurysm this game? Man, Canada cannot buy a goal!
A bit sad to see Russia knocked out, I was looking forward to a matchup.

 Re: Sochi 2014 Olympics
Well, that was incredibly intense. I think I am still recovering. I am really happy they pulled it out - despite the lopsided stats for the game, a lucky bounce or bad break could have easily pushed it the other way.

 Re: Sochi 2014 Olympics
Would have been great to have a USA vs Russia medal game...but I'm not sad that Russia is knocked out. I watched the SWE/LAT game and Sweden looked terrible at times. If they want to get by their rivals, they need to be more alert/aware. By contrast, Finland looks great. I get the feeling it will be FIN or USA for gold and CAN getting bronze. The women's hockey has been entertaining. Japan in easily the most improved team. Too bad they have to qualify again. They should have beat Russia and Germany.

 Re: Sochi 2014 Olympics
Yeah, I am the same way. I was cheering for Finland, but there is a part of me that always wants to see a Canada-Russia final. I am predicting we will meet the US again (sigh) in the end. Except we will be winning the gold once again.

Congratulations to Jennifer Jones and crew. Gold Medal and unbeaten throughout the tournament (though you would never know it by my anxiety levels! ). Hoping for a golden day for the Canadian women. Go Canada Go!!!

And yet, Russia does not want you to see these delightful fellas and their glorious beards. Ohhh, the irony. Russia Doesn't Want You to See These Shirtless, Muscley, Bearded Canadian Bobsledders

Hahahaha, yep. Looks like G's doppelganger is there too. Maybe we should set up our own Montreal SB team?

 Re: Sochi 2014 Olympics
Congratulations to Canada and its Women's Hockey team on that win. It looks like the US let our guard down too much when we thought we had sealed the deal. I'll have to forward that photo of the Pan Canadian Beard Growing team to a friend of mine. He might decide to move even farther North to cheer them on their home turf.

 Re: Sochi 2014 Olympics
I must say I'm not really one to sit through the formalities of Olympic and similar events but was pretty captivated by the closing ceremony giant mascot robots.
