 Takatoku Toys
Time to correct a major oversight on the board. We don't have a dedicated thread to TT, despite a few random ones on specific toys, and a lonesome one for robots. Anyways, a pretty huge company in the vintage toy lines, plenty out there, so let's show that TT love. I have picked up a few of the Popy-scale mini figures. Here is my Devilman. He might not be quite as good as the funky bootleg, but I like him. A bit more of a true to the manga take on Devilman. There are actually two different paint versions of this guy, with the other having silver paint highlights on green vinyl, rather than the blue.

 Re: Takatoku Toys
Nice one Sanjeev! I guess it is slightly the wrong board for it maybe, but I don't get to see enough robots/mechas. I say bring 'em on with open arms. I don't know if there is a hidden rule here, but I say humbug. All Japanese toys welcome, particularly vintage. And, yeah, I am lazy, and don't have the time to be a regular on 15 different message boards.

 Re: Takatoku Toys
I guess that I'll repost these again here to consolidate? Kikaida ˜9 inch Standard I am almost 100% sure that the Robodachi chogokin are by TT, and I believe that they also did the sofubi ˜4 inch figures. Friction car Robo Z is almost certainly a fish-out-of-water here!

Another from the Popy scale hero series, Ultraman Astra. I quite like the blue accents on this guy; different from the standard Ultra hero fare.

 Re: Takatoku Toys
Cool thread! Ultra Gramps and the pesky Alien Magma and probably the best toy TT ever made (next to the transforming Valkyrie), missile-firing Condorman.

 Re: Takatoku Toys
Without a doubt. That Condorman stands up easily against any other vintage toys. Nice Ultra guys too, your 'Gramps' has a great condition cape.

Haha...I assumed the "Super Robot" board was for diecast, plastic, and other media robot toys...while (vintage) vinyl robots were still welcome here! Eh, whatever!

 Re: Takatoku Toys
Ah no, not at all. What I was winking/nudging at was that most of the residents here largely stick to just monster toys, but I openly welcome all postings of robotic denizens too, be they vinyl or otherwise. The more the better when it comes to vintage content. And it is a safe bet that most of the vintage crowd, if not all, has a fair appreciation for that other side of the Japanese toy market as well. What I meant was bollocks to any sticklers if there are some [which if there are, are probably not bothering with this neglected section of the board anyhow].

I was going to respond to this thread awhile back but wanted to wait for the mid sized Kikaida to arrive: I think the only other TT I have are a large and mid sized Rainbowman, but I could be wrong.

 Re: Takatoku Toys
Here is my set of Akumaizer 3 heroes from TT. They are Popy-scale once again. They have a few paint scuffs from playing that I need to magic eraser, but are in good shape compared to others I have seen. Now I just need to find a Mezalord to complete the set.

 Re: Takatoku Toys
The akumaizer figures look great! I have a couple figures I need to clean up still too. Hope you don't mind me asking here but Do you usually use the magic eraser to clean scuffs? I've been too afraid and only use soap and water. I'll be sure to post pictures of my tt

 Re: Takatoku Toys
Yeah, I have used a magic eraser on some vintage figures, and it can really help with certain scuffs. I was wary too, but as long as you are careful with it, it should be okay. The best thing to do is to try a painted area that is not detrimental, say underneath or the back of the feet. Do some gentle rubbing, and you should be able to tell whether or not it will remove the base before it gets really damaged. Obviously there is a lot of staining and marker on vintage toys that can't be removed by any method, but for some light scuffing, it is surprising how cleaned up you can get a figure to look with a bit of patience and effort. There are several threads here on cleaning vintage toys you can read up on too, I think this is probably the most active one, if you had a specific question.

 Re: Takatoku Toys
Damn...those Diapolon minis are killer! I've never seen that card before. These actually look cooler than the more-common Bullmark minis of them.

 Re: Takatoku Toys
Sorry guys, I am confused, as I mentioned to Jeff before, I had not see that whole set together carded either, but are those not still the Bullmark ones? Is there any ID stamping on the feet that you can see?

 Re: Takatoku Toys
Yes, I believe that those are Bullmark (and it is clearly marked on the card, although collaborations have occurred). As to Daiapolons, I think the only TT toys they made were a very, very rare diecast set. But as I have never held any of these vinyls in hand, I guess I could be wrong. organic_addict should add his Cyborg 009 photo here! Since there are not that many TT vinyls, I guess I should add what I can to this thread.

 Re: Takatoku Toys
Oh interesting! I didn't even notice the Bullmark logo on that Diapolon card! But, no, those aren't the more common Bullmark Diapolon minis. They look...smaller...and less detailed. But in a way, more charming! I have the whole set of the more common Bullmark minis that I'm guessing are a little bigger because their sculpts are more detailed and have more paint operations.
Myles, those Gokaiser MFVs are dope!
