 Re: US Toys Questions...
Yeah, everything is mini or mid sized, no jumbos. I don't have the room to collect those.

 Re: US Toys Questions...
WoW! That is a phenomenal US Toys collection you have Matt. I know their minis are very popular, but I actually love the larger guys more, and something about the shampoo bottle figures just gets me. You did a great job collecting a variety of each of the sculpts. I guess I have never seen them side-by-side like that, because I didn't notice the that were two versions of the normal grey Ultra. I am glad I don't have to pick a favourite, because those make it mighty tough! I really need an Eleking and Miclas in that size though. Excellent stuff man, I definitely want to come over and play.

Great collection! Is that Antlar mini GID? I thought it was on their very hard to tell the difference between regular light blue, but it looks like it might be in that pic standing next to the GID Goro.

 Re: US Toys Questions...
Yup. Both have a nice blue glow to them. And i think there are at least 2 more gray ultras, one with a red chest and one without painted eyes. The light gray one I have is really squishy.

 Re: US Toys Questions...
Yep. Here is my midsize Ultra. It has the all grey eyes, but I just had to get him because I am just in love with the Marusan D-Type I mask. Something about it has always been my favourite; so lovable. And you can't ask for any more than to have him in classic specium ray pose. US Toys did a wonderful job on these. I really like the middle size and heft of these figures too - a great balance of playability over full sice toys but not as tiny as the minis. Great for adult k̶i̶d̶s̶'̶ -collectors' hands. Of course, I still need the glower!

 Re: US Toys Questions...
We need a US Toys database, peoples! I'm always forgetting about some of their sculpts, and I've never really had any idea of all the versions they've produced of any single toy. I'd like to at least try to build a text list of all their sculpts, but I'll be needing plenty of assistance to even figure that first step out - please PM me if you want to help. First up, the topic of the night - shampoopers and other mid-size pretties: Booska Booska 'n bowl
Garamon Gomess Kanegon Pagos Pegila
Baltan Gabora Neronga Ultraman (have they done A, B and C types?)
Eleking Mikuras Ultraseven What am I forgetting?

 Re: US Toys Questions...
I started trying to put one together several years ago, listing all the different versions, but there were too many.

This is a little postcard I got with a recent purchase. It shows a lot of the shampoo sized colors, but not sure that it's all of them.

 Re: US Toys Questions...
Oh sweet, thanks for sharing that! What a great postcard. It does look pretty comprehensive for the middle sized figures at least; I can't think of any omissions I don't see there. It also reminds me of how many other variants are out there that I would love!

I have that postcard! You know I never knew there were so many Ultraman kneeling variants. Although my eyes can't really see much a difference btw the two glow versions (except maybe the eye shape).

 Re: US Toys Questions...
They are the two different mask types (of the so called 'D' version - see mine above for a closer look). The most noticeable change you can see from a distance are the side/ear pieces. One mask has the squared off pieces with a cut inside them, while the other type has the 'cylinder' ears. The eyes are also a slightly different sculpt, more oval and angled on the ones on the right (Type II). The latter was the more common version of Ultraman seen in later toys of him.

Definitely bot complete; your collection proves that! I have I have the same insert - just dug it out this morning - and it was interesting to note the complete lack of Gary! I'd forgotten about the Semi-Ningen as well. Thanks for sharing that, M! Anyone up for translating the text on the card? Looks like all of the sub-lines (shampoo vs. articulated midis, etc) are designated by name. As for Ultras, are the rightmost two even more almond-eyed than the center ones? Mine old eyes are playing tricks. Yuck!!! wrote: I started trying to put one together several years ago, listing all the different versions, but there were too many. Did you save your efforts, Chase? It would be great if you'd consider passing your archive my way.

Who is the third DX version, besides Neronga and Gabora? Is it Baragon?

 Re: US Toys Questions...
Have you guys ever seen one of these anywhere? I've actually never seen a US Toys Miclas of any size or color show up anywhere before, but then I don't really search YJA or Mandarake because I'm too timid to try those places.

Haven't seen an orange one yet, although Mandarake have had some in the past. The one you have pictured is the mini.

If you look at Matt's photo, he has the two versions with blue chest crystal and painted eyes (light and darker grey) and the eyes in them are the same. I think only the left two are different. As to what is missing, I think it is more just because of timeline, that there have been some additional figures released from them since this was printed. I think recall, for example, that there may have been some of the 'bronze' type toys that they seem to like recently. Generally though, I think they have shied away from the middle sizes altogether.

In addition to the mini you depicted, you can see proof of the midi existing at the top of this page and on the flyer. As for versions of each? That's what I want to uncover! edit: What Matthew said, mostly.

 Re: US Toys Questions...
Yeah I've seen the mid version before, at least photos of it. And I actually have the brown mini, which I picked up on Vicious Fun a few months ago. I wish the mid-size had the same proportions as the mini - The mini is a little svelte for the Miclas character, which makes him look cuter than the mid-size counterparts. Also, his hands-up pose looks like he's asking for a hug, whereas the mid-size looks unsure of what he's wanting to do with his hands / arms.

I have a mid-size US Miclas with pink base and paint somewhere. Took ages to track him down. Chunky figure.

I love my squasher, but your dead-eyed baby face wins.

Here's a diorama of Ragon and Baltan. One of the best looking Baltan. Was there an episode where Ragon had a dream sequence with Baltan in it? Can't find any.
