Perfect pace and mix of story and action. Now let's get back to her, Tyreese, and those psycho girls...I'm just waiting for crap to hit the fan there. Also curious what secrets Eugene Porter's big brain keeps hidden beneath that vicious mullet

Blah what development? We didn't learn anything we didn't already know about these people. This whole season is turning me off.

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!!
I'm starting to actually enjoy the show for the gory trainwreck that it is. Favorite scene so far this season: Stupid blonde girl: "You're a tracker, you can track them!" (Daryl continues sulking) "Fine, I'll track them then!" (stupid blonde girl wanders off into the dark night alone, unarmed and without a light) Awesome.

I'm just glad Rick has finally taken a back seat . . . . he was starting to get on my tits. I like the direction the show has taken lately, without the protection of the prison anything can happen . . . .

(Daryl continues sulking) "Fine, I'll track them then!" (stupid blonde girl wanders off into the dark night alone, unarmed and without a light) Awesome. LOL yeah this is sort of the same reason I watch now. Every week I say to myself: "Who's going to say the dumbest thing or make the most idiotic life-ending decision ever?" This past week Maggie & Sasha took the gold for this absolute gem: Sasha: Why are you here? Maggie: Cause I was waitin' for ya. I'm not giving up. But I need your help. Cause I can't do it by myself. Sasha looks at ground frustrated *shakes head" Maggie: And even if I catch up to Bob, we can't do it alone. Sasha suddenly looks up at Maggie gives *meaningful look* Maggie (smiling now): I thought that I couldn't ask you to risk your life. But I can. Cause' I know what you'd be risking it for. Really? Waiting? What was the point of leaving then? I'd tell Maggie to get stuffed. Blah blah blah and suddenly the usually sensible Sasha agrees to go look for Glenn. This coming after the all three of these characters split up (Bob, Sasha, Glenn) completely going full circle and contradicting every argument previously made in seconds. Writers- what was the point of wasting an episode splitting these three up, only to have a few words throw at Sasha to go against any smart decision she was making? By the end of the episode it's all Stand By Me.

I was initially displeased by the staging of this group, but damned if the results didn't make for one hell of a watch last night. "The Grove" has to have been one of if not the most well-written episode(s) to date. I hastily lumped Mika with her "messed up" sister Lizzie AKA "Dances with Zombies", but the little girl's conversations with Carol proved that she was anything of the sort.

Carol shoulda put a bullet in that homicidal little shit's face right away. I love how they obviously thought "Maaan, this is ballsy! We're BALLSY!" when writing the episode, while pretty much everyone else probably breathed a heavy sigh of relief when Carol finally pulled the trigger. Worst child acting since that blonde brat from House by the Cemetery.

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!!
its a lot to ask for from a child actor. She did good enough in a great episode. That was set up fantastically - hope we get more of this. I'm not going to let mediocre acting ruin a fun ride - I'm in till the end.

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!!
Man, Carol rules. Fuck Rick. This show needs to be about her.
I loved it. That's what this show needs to be. Tough calls in a changed world. I have a lot of understanding and connections to mental illness with my job so to see something like that really was awesome. It wasn't overplayed like Rick seeing things (that's not how trauma usually works shit head writers.) She really thought she heard these things talking to her. She wasn't evil or anything, she had a serious disorder. In the real world, sure, treat her, meds, therapy, etc. In this zombie world? She's a threat, and going to get herself killed. Schizo with some Stockholm Syndrome tossed in, trauma, poor coping.
Then I thought Tyrese was gonna be all nuts about Carol, or Carol would tell him too early and it'd be all stupid. But no, again, they saved it all for what would be more likely I feel.
It was sad, it was interesting putting in how mental illness would be handled in that type of world (even though it's treated very well NOW in society.) Carol is #1. And I grew some respect for Tyrese.

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!!
My complaints aren't that it's dramatic vs. tense vs. gorey whatever. It's that characters are written to do stupid shit and still survive and keep getting dumber (Rick) and I don't find drama or tension in that. It's bad and boring most of the time to me. Not dramatic or tense. Sunday was a HUGE improvement. Keep that up. Stop giving antibiotics to heal viruses in 1 day. Stop having characters tread developmental water. Stop forced drama that is useless and only written to make an attempt at depth and development. Start doing what was done Sunday. GlassJAwfan wrote: what carol did to liz was a bold but smart move i really wouldnt know what to do in that situation.
As a co-worker said to me "Carol's straight gangsta dude!"

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!!
Carol rules . . . she made the incredibly tough decision that Tyreese would never had made.
Quick questions -
How did the house they were staying in have power and gas? Wouldn't the supply for both of been cut-off weeks ago?
Also, how much time is supposed to have passed since the first episode?
