Post Toys shops in Taiwan and Okinawa
Thanks to my job, I'm going to Taiwan for business and then fly to Okinawa for some days off.

Has anyone been there and could point me out to some toys shops ? Not that I'm collecting anymore but I just love to have a look at the new and old stuff.

Not a lot of shops in Taiwan unfortunately, there's Paradise Toy Land and the famous shops (shin men ding? I have to check the name) with a bunch of model kits and some kaiju. I looked at Andy's blog for shops but I think one or two are closed now. I'd PM Andy as he knows the most about Taiwan

I don't think theres much in Okinawa but the Manga Souko (http://www.mangasouko-naha.jp/) in Naha has a small range of vinyl and other old toys, I picked up a couple nice M1 and Bandai toys when I was there over New Years.

Theres also another Manga Souko in Awase (http://mangasouko.info/awase) that has toys but I'm not sure how good it is.

You definitely want to go to Paradise Toy Land in Taipei. I think Motherfucker (yes amazing name) carried Kaws and what not, not sure if they're still around. I'd also go to the 百年大樓 which may indeed be in Ximen Ding if I remember well. There were tons of interesting small toy stores à la Nakano Broadway in there.

There's not much outside Taipei, but I remember having found a few things at Electric Bird in Taizhong.

I left Taiwan nine years ago, so forgive my faulty memory (and quite possibly outdated info). I'm sure you'll have a great time anyway, Taiwan is the best!

Big ones usually are. Not always for the small ones...
