oh, sorry, I was going by appearances there - what I thought he was when I did an image search. Will change it. He was an unexpected gift who just happened to match another of my monsters so well it was like they were made for each other. He is much appreciated whoever he is!

i didn't mean for you to apologize for getting it "wrong"—i just didn't want you to have been ripped off if you were in fact trying to purchase a real betakong. the one you have is by a toy "maker" to whom i do not wish to bring any more attention.

Oh no worries. I'm glad to have it right. No, no one told me that's who it was. I jumped to that assumption myself after finding him hiding away in the box as an extra gift out of nowhere. I had no idea who he was and then saw a few Betakongs on rotocasted and thought he was the same.

I love him just as much either way. I thought it was kind of amazing how perfectly his color scheme matched the monster I already had (you will guess I have no idea who that guy is either, and you would be right. Bought him because I liked him, but still don't know who he is.)

oh cool. That one I am very glad to know because I might want to get other versions of him. He is one of my favorites.

Jaw dropping collection Cindy! I hope to one day own a GID King - definitely a grail for me

Yeah, that is one of my grails too. I am most eager to find the blue ones (my favorite color) and that GID. I intend to find them all, if I can, all the non-customs. These and the cryptids and monster flowers are the whole collection for me. I pick up a figure here and there that I just love in a random way (like the two you see here), but trying now to really focus on just a few things.

What I would not give for a GID! And the blue clear and - still pains me - the blue second release one that I missed by seconds on mandarake a few weeks ago. I won't stop fretting about that until I have one finally. Wish these were not so hard to find.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous! King Negora is such a well-done sculpt. Hope you're able to find the ones you're missing.

Thank you. I must say it is my main obsession right now. It started as a secondary collection, but quickly became my main focus.

I know I am supposed to be patient (and good things will come), but I must admit I feel terribly frustrated by how hard these are to find. Partly it is because I had a chance at several of my missing ones in the beginning, and took too long deciding and lost that chance. So it makes me all the more frustrated because I feel I will never see them again, or the others. There are many things I CAN wait on (the smaller negoras, for instance, which I buy when I see them but don't go crazy trying to track them down) but these I want so badly and want them now, I must admit.

The display you see here covers half the shelf space I have for them (the top of two Ikea Expedit shelving units together). I am so determined to track the others down that I left the second half completely empty, waiting for them. I don't know if that is confidence (or hubris), desperation, or just plan insanity, perhaps a little of all three.

If anyone should spot my missing ones (seen below at the top of my wanted list), please grab them for me! I would pay FOR SURE and very well. I am not afraid to say that with these, because I just want to find them. And I update my wanted list constantly, so if it is on there, it is still wanted. I am not interested (yet) in customs, just the various released versions.

Where the heck ARE these guys? I don't even see many people owning them at all.

That is so wonderful. Makes me yearn for them even more, painfully so. Which really should be impossible. I have simply got to find the blue.
