Banshee! Those detail shots are great, thank you! I predicted this thread to be 50% toy appreciation and 50% clash of the toy collecting generations. Seems to be going pretty much as predicted thus far!

At first sight I for one thought that this was a nag ripoff but your shots have started changing my mind... Wouldn't mind seeing one in hand.

Yeah, I mean it comes off that way EASILY at first. But once you kind of see it, see the differences and learn about Izumo a bit more and what he was aiming for here and his influence on it, it kind of stands apart. To me I only see a Fulci zombie now, really over-rotted and gross, not just a roughly sculpted figure. There's actual calculation in the sculpt, it wasn't just raggedy to be raggedy.

It reminds me more of Buta stuff too honestly than Nag. But I think it's time to let the comparisons go and just enjoy the damn thing for what it is. The header card is awesome too, with a different head drawing on the back of it ::hint hint::

I like the sculpt, but not crazy about the paint app - although I think it's right for this sculpt and what it's based off, just not my taste. I would be all over a glow or unpainted glow so fingers crossed. One more comparison but not to another toy:

HS wrote on his blog that the shikabane kaiju is designed sculpted and painted by izumo-san. They're just friends and maybe HS produced it and helped him but nobody knows.
