yeah crazy how the blues choked even after the suspension of seabrook with that hit, bhawks played an impressive 4 straight.

The habs/bruins is going to be a killer series, blood will spill...

Damn i had thought dallas was going to force a game 7, i go run an errand and the ducks are advancing! I agree, corey perry is a POS and super dirty. Someone needs to take his head off...

And the sharks.... Im not shocked they are blowing it. Playing such uninspired hockey the last two games. I really hope they close it out tonight ir they might be in the history books and not for a good reason.

I was really hoping the stars/ducks would end up in a game 7 with the stars advancing. Couldn't believe they blew it with 2:10 to go...

As for the kings, after being on the brink of a sweep, I think they're gaining steam and will ride that through tonight at home and into a game 7 where it can go eitherway.

It seems like there have been more blown calls by the refs this playoffs. That being said, I can't remember so many exciting games in the first round. Lots of overtime games and last minute heroics, like the Ducks' miracle finish. Hopefully the Avs can take game 7 on home ice.

Post Re: The good ol' hockey game
I agree with the blown calls^^^ Refs should not be deciding outcomes, let them play unless it's obvious.

Can't believe the Ducks came back to beat the Stars. I had no favorite in this one but it brings up a pretty good point I think: I really think the league needs to take a look at these pile ups in front of the net. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is not football and I thought the goalie crease is off limits? As in no one can be in the blue paint while trying to score. It's getting ridiculous with all of these bodies stacked on top of the goalie and the puck squirting through. Like who the hell could stop a puck with all that happening? Yet every game it's "crash the net at the end when one team is behind". OT goal legit for Ducks the two prior were not IMO. Games should not be decided on clear interference.

Sharks are choking. I kind of feel bad for them. Like it's their fate every year.

So glad the kings tied the series up lastnight! I thought those 3 power plays in the 2nd period were gonna give the sharks what they needed to close it out. That unsportsman like penalty on the kings was a perfect example of some bad calls the refs have been making. I think the Kings will take it in game 7, Momentum is on their side and the sharks just seemed to be flustered towards the end of game 6.

Post Re: The good ol' hockey game
These calls being made now are just ridiculous. The NHL needs to get their collective heads our of their arses (along with the refs assoc. or whatever it is) and make up sensible guidelines. First of all, the fact we can even have 'unreviewable' plays is idiotic. You have the tape. You have taken a timeout/game stoppage already. NOTHING is affected. Take a look, review the play, and make the right call. Look, no one is perfect, refs make mistakes same as anybody else; but to stand by them and refuse to admit there is a problem is stupid. How many games to we have to see decided on terrible calls one way or another? I wanted the Kings to win last night, and in the end, maybe that one goal (Williams') didn't decide the game, but who can say what kind of effect that has on a team, and especially a goalie's play? That was so utterly a blown call, and to keep playing and claim ignorance brings down the entire sport. I am really getting tired of the lack of consitent officiating and how much subjective calls are really deciding play and outcomes. Get it together.

I am so excited for this series. Nothing like a rivalry meeting in the playoffs. I am really hoping Montreal brings in some momentum from their previous sweep, and isn't lagging from the break.

That Lucic gif really cracked me up  I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm pretty burnt from playoff hockey already. Too many late nights killed my sleep schedule. I keep falling asleep around midnight and waking up at 5am, sucks!

Won't miss this series though. My g/f hates this time of year and wishes hockey would just go away!

Oh the anxiety! If this is going to a series full of OTs, I am definitely going to lose any colour still remaining in my hair.

What's better than three periods of a Bruins Habs game? One that goes five periods! I can't believe all the near misses. No hair to go grey on my head but I swear the Bruins have given me a few grey chest hairs this year!

I'm use to all this OT with the B's.

I was obviously kidding. If you're getting grey hairs Chris think about us Habs fans... I mean will they stop dumping the puck? Sigh.

Well Oli at least (I hope) the Bruins have given up fancy one too many passes syndrome.

I think Montreal is doing a good job forechecking. They swarm well on the puck.

Bruins fans will be so riled up at PK scoring two... Hehehe.

Well this is promising to be a very interesting series. I was surprised at the low number of penalties... Looking forward to six more games!

(And I agree with Guillaume... But will definitely take it!)

Price bailed us out, no question. Some just horrendous puck handling throughout the game, terrible passes, horrible clearing, and giveaways all over the place. We survived that game, but had better have a good game plan for the next one on Saturday. The boys will be hurting already, nevermind late in the series.

Yeah both teams looked dead tired. It will be interesting to see how fatigue factors in, especially with the early start on Saturday.

^ Your taunts actually mean nothing since one game does not make a series, which Montreal will soon find out. Montreal got really lucky in game 1, Price completely bailed your team out.
