Well there is the face definitely, which isn't helping (or is, depending on your viewpoint), but it was more of the human arms and legs coming out of the massive peanut body. I think it is because the limbs seem larger/thicker, and more prominent on this one, than are typically seen on anthropomorphosised food/cutesy characters. What crazy, evil mastermind created a mutant kewpie monster to rain allergens down upon the masses?

Seeing the Dodongo big brothers alongside the minis makes it that much harder to take not having one. My favourite Buta sculpt in a long time, and that is high praise given the company. My Ultra is missing his steed!

So these Chiba-kit legs have names to them. Any ideas what they mean/signify you Japanese speakers here?

First row starts with Lucky and Butter, but then we have maybe ラッカ..? Not going to guess about the Kanji... The flesh on bottom row reads しろい..? Any help appreciated!



Also: Did they pull flesh colored cat-heads for those sets? I've only seen it in green in pics.

Edit: Google translate gives ラッカ to mean lacquer, and しろい as white. The why is still a mystery.

First one might be 'ki' or more like 'ky' rather than 'ka'. So Rakky... Lackey?
Second one Bata.
Third is hard to read... Ukka? Ukke?
If the last one is Shiroi, then yes, white is correct.
I also make a pass on the kanji.

The bottom green 犬 for dog.

Looks so similar except for the white pupils...

I don't know, I think it is different enough; different colours on the paint application and on creamy vinyl this time instead of yellow. But hey, I would be thrilled if everyone thought it looked the same, so please everyone that has one already, let me grab one this time!

Usually i don't think that j-vinyl makers go through all the trouble from sculpturing to mold making to producing etc just for a one time release, but Buta and Iluilu/Uzumark are among the few makers who are crazy enough to do just that!

I have mixed feelings about the new colorway; will have to see more pics, and maybe in-hand to make up my mind. The base color looks like pale chewed-up bubble gum here, but I do like the stronger color-contrasts.
