It was a pretty boring game and the officiating was atrocious. I understand that they don't want to just start throwing out red cards like crazy, but some of those fouls were a bit stronger than a yellow. I was all for the Dutch taking a go at it, but boy howdy is Robben a whiny I FART A LOT.

I disagree. Except for the kick to the chest, which definitely should have been a send-off in the 29th minute, I think it was well officiated.

kick to the chest was probably the most exciting thing in the match...aside from the goal. really surprised De Jong wasn't sent off for that.

Today Japan is playing Cyprus and the US v Azerbaijan... these don't seem to be good sparrings... Neither Israel tomorrow for Mexico.


My favorite to take it is Germany, and I think this time around Argentina and Italy are going to be good contenders. The worst teams Costa Rica and Australia only because they have the worst group. Belgium and Colombia might shine, but I don't think Falcao is going to make it.

this world cup is killing it so far for excitement. the goals per average for matches is way higher than south africa (think it was about 2.1 per game there)
