Holy shit where has this thread been? If there is one thing I like more than toys or tattoos its dogs! I'll be going through this page by page when I get home and sharing my photos too.

 Re: dog appreciation.
My dog last Fall, he's a 3 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. He loves to pull all the stuffing out of stuffed toys and destroy plastic peanut butter jars.

 Re: dog appreciation.
Lots of beautiful dogs in here. Greasebat, your Ridgeback is very handsome, what a crazy marking on his chest. Love that breed. Here is my 3 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. His name is Tate, but he also answers to Tater-Tot and Tater-Bug.

Thanks Six7777. This might sound completely insane but this picture of him reminds me of Jim Morrison for some reason. Guess its the way his ear hair is falling.

 Re: dog appreciation.
Reviving an old thread because I was just going to post something similar. This is my Yorkshire Terrier, Allie, and a day in her life... Being a spoiled little thing and licking people to death. I think she was 11 or 12 when I made this GIF, she's 13 now. Getting deaf and blind slowly, but still full of spunk.

 Re: dog appreciation.
Haha, Gonzo is like "PLEASE stop teasing me with toys that I can't chew!" So, Tuesday was apparently National Dog Day... My boyfriend and I were driving back home after getting fingerprinted at the PD (we're both trying to get pistol permits, him so he can get an armed security job, and me just for safety/legal reasons since we live together and the gun will be in our house) when we passed by our neighbor's house. There was a little dog sitting on the front step of the house, and I knew something was up because our neighbors didn't have a dog. I walked up to the pup and it was sitting there, as if waiting for someone to let it in. Turns out her name was Gigi, and she wandered off her property when their nanny let her out without her invisible fence collar on. She lived about a street away, probably drawn to the sound of construction at my other neighbor's house. I guess she had enough of wandering and just wanted to go inside, even if it wasn't her own house. My mother held her while I called up her owner and we dropped her off at her house to a very relieved nanny. Today the owner dropped off a gorgeous pink orchid plant on our front door. Didn't need any thanks since I absolutely love dogs and was happy to just be able to get her back home, but I love orchids too!

 Re: dog appreciation.
Enter Almighty Zeus, the infinitely lovable, goofy, handsome pitsky. My boo got him for us last summer for my birthday and he's been a huge ray of sunshine in our lives. His own birthday is sometime this month but we have no idea of what date, specifically, so we made it mid-month on the 15th.

 Re: dog appreciation.
I like Frank and his priorities. Guess I should introduce my new little terror. This is Bruiser. He was adopted through Mercer Animal Rescue, a group that has a Tennessee and Connecticut chapter. They're trying to make even the smallest dent in TN's insane kill rate by pulling highly adoptable dogs out of the shelters. (These dogs literally have no issues but would be put to sleep due to overpopulation in the shelter. Literally, killed for no good reason except to make more space.) My boyfriend and I wanted a dog of our own for a while, and I was going through a really tough time in my life. My father was kind enough to finally agree to use getting a pup of our own. Bruiser was listed on Adoptapet in CT, so I called up and asked to meet him. Well, turns out he was in TN, and I was already thinking "HAH that's not going to work, I can't even meet the dog." ...but I decided to call the foster anyway to find out more about him. You know how two people who never met can start spazzing about things they have in common? Well, that was me and the foster talking about dogs. She said Bruiser was abso-fucking-lutely perfect other than his penchant for being an escape artist. She said he's good on a leash, loves cuddles, loves people and is okay with cats (which my bf's dad has)... basically everything we were looking for. So I did something crazy, I adopted a dog I had never met based solely on verbal description and two photos. NO. REGRETS. AT ALL. He is absolutely perfect. He does have some dental issues (probably fed crappy food before he was dumped at the shelter) but we taught him how to heel on a leash, sit, lie down, beg on two legs, ignore our food, and go on a doggie pad if he really REALLY needs to go and we aren't around. He sleeps under the covers in our bed, gets a case of the wiggles when we come home, likes to attack our faces with kisses, and is obsessed with squeaky plush toys. He also makes shivs out of antlers (we joke he learned it in the "big house" of Tennessee) He also hates his jacket. But damn, do we love him. Sometimes potentially risky choices turn out SO so good.
