Yeah Glenn this turned out quite lovely, I think the subtle little hits of yellow really worked out well with the sculpt and the other colors.

I have to agree - your runinations really honor and accent the sculpt.

Do you have any pics of the work in progress? How about of the original blank?

While you did a fantastic job Glenn, it's usually frowned upon here to post personal customs in a makers thread. Should be left to your own customs thread. unless however this will be an official run..?

That looks great but I wouldn't have thought it'd be an official run as its not too dissimilar from Izumo's last release....

Oh yikes!! I didn't even realize they were so similar... I know that we both use MK paints, so we probably bought the same colour packs and ended up using the same palette. I didn't take any progress pics, but I remember I started off with green, then hit it with lilac, pink, red and black.

These came out pretty bad ass, but the $250 tag kinda deterred me from trying. Hopefully some fellow board members were able to score, though!

I didn't want to go high, but the cost of the blank and print alone cost half that price. I'm not making all that much off these for all the work that I put into them. I just love this toy so I don't care.

Hope that helps justify the reason the price tag is so high.

I'm not at all saying it needed to be justified, just that my pockets unfortunately don't run that deep. If I was able to swing it, I would've.

Since people can't seem to stop harping in on it, I never once stated the price was unfair. The unavailability of the funds on me at the time of the drop is what deterred me, not the actual price. These came out super bad ass and I would've loved to try for one. Again, if I could've swung it, I would've.

So Im sure everyone here is following Izu on IG, can anyone explain or have an idea
of why he is putting links up to YJA auctions based on his toys? Or is he putting up
the link to someone else that is selling the toy?

I don't want to speculate but its bugging the shit out of me that he is doing that.
But at the same time, I guess its better for him to "flip" his toy instead of a real
asshole flipper. At least that big chunk of change goes to the artist and not some
wank.
