Not much to worry about.
Usually just try to check the list before you bid and if there is another member just let them know your interested.
No need to run another members auction up for no reason. Keep it RFSO
Also remember there is NO retracting a bid. So make sure you really want it.
And also rememebr celga fees before you bid.
Enjoy

It all depends.
Here is a link to celga. Most of us use it although its not the only way to bid on YJA.
How to request an auction:
http://celga.com/order.html
and the fees:
http://celga.com/fee.html
And also dont forget shipping to you from celga starts at 25.00 because they use EMS.
So again make sure you into what you want because it can go up pretty fast.

Ok so basically its a place to get stuff that cant be scooped up here. You wont get any deals, but you will have a way better chance to get the figure you wanted.

you'll get deals.. but usually everything of interest is spotted by loco first.

Be prepared to spend up to double what you see on YJP! when you add in fees and shipping costs. Lots of good stuff, though. It's definitely changed the toy scene in Japan, at least for vintage.

fees and shipping definitely adds up, but I have scored a ton of awesome shit for less than what I could have got it anywhere else...
there's still a lot of great stuff popping up that guys like Moco already have so it's all yours!
actually, stay off YJA. We really don't need more competition

i think if it is GF's you are looking for, you're better off not bothering w/ a Gold Celga account (IMO)... I don't see many of those and since most of them (I think) were sold by S7, they're mainly going to pop up on ebay. any other older SB's on the otherhand, is a different story.....

Here is a good FAQ. Roger made it. Celga is not the only competent bidding service.

No problem. A thread containing that FAQ used to be stickied in the B/S/T forum, but old threads get expunged from that forum. I think it should be stickied in the Japan Toys forum since this is, well, a frequently asked question.

Just to add (in case any new folks happen to read this), use Celga in moderation. I found that I buy far too much crap, then end up paying more than double for said crap. If it's for a rare or wanted figure, it's not bad, but when it's for say...a bunch of Doraemon x-mas stuff bought on a whim, it is. Not a knock on Celga (though I haven't investigated any of the competition), but it just isn't cost effective for everything.
