Psyched! Honestly though, the release timing is kind of funny - he knew I was releasing my figure on Sunday after all... At least he didn't use the same colors!

No matter - I'm still excited to add the Buta version of Jamira to my collection. A fun and silly interpretation of the poor little guy.

It may be a coincidence, but it sure is a fun one. I think they strongly compliment each other.

I am very ecstatic too Jon to finally see Mr. Oohashi finally tackle this amazing and tragic little monster. His cuteness helps to redeem a bit of the sadness in my mind, in that ol' Jamila continues on in an exremely happy form. I am probably one of the few to be more excited for this fella than Zazahn.

I passed on the last Icarus release because I was waiting for a green too. Very solid lineup!!

You know, I've always liked the Jamila story but the rubber suit execution was pretty dumb-looking to me. And I have never liked Jamila toys (except for a mini or two) until now. I really dig the way Oohashi tweaked the design into something much more visually appealing.

I went back to figure out what bugged me so much about the original character design and it was the tiny face on large body. Making the face larger in this sculpt really made a difference for me.

Me, I'm a lifelong fan of Jamila and his tiny little face. And I'm not alone!

Damn...you go to the beach for 2 hours and boom - you miss the toy. Oh well... So - dumb to expect, but if anyone gets one and prefers to unload it, I'm interested. m(_ _)m

Don't feel too bad Jon (though I know that pain all too well too, and little consolation is possible). Even being on the Buta website and refreshing like crazy, the site is such that - at least for me - it has been nearly impossible to guarantee getting a figure even when you are ready the moment they appear. They honestly sell out frequently in less than a minute, and - here is where the site really messes with you - if you have one in your cart that sells out, it makes you start all over again, in which time you are usually screwed out of any of the 'secondary' popular toys because now those sell out. Just another (of the oh so many) battles we have to deal with when being addicted to these delightful toys.

Definitely hoping for some kind of miracle chance at a Jamila, but I foresee another colour release coming at some point too, so hopefully that means at least a second opportunity. You might luck in at one of the Festivals as well Jon.

It's all good man. When you buy as little as I do, it's easy to focus on one or two things another color would be cool anyway - and painted teeth would be nice.

I'm loving that Zazahn actually has red spots (not in the sample pics), they bring some added oomph. Zarab is cool too.

I wonder if the Jamila has gotten any paint-revision from the preview..?
