Hmmm... the only other trick I know involves a hair dryer and acetone, but I don't think it applies in this situation.

If I had a dollar for everytime you use the word acetone I could just buy a new display.

I've heard that the best way to try and remedy a stuck pixel is to sort of massage the area of the stuck pixel and hope it gets unstuck. Get some of those screen wipes, and gently rub the area in little circles.
i have a stuck pixel too on my brand new monitor
u better not be pulling my leg if i try this or i'll pull whats left of your hair out moco!

If you have a dead pixel on a new Apple Display..
take it back. Or call 1-800 APL CARE
you have a 1 year warranty...
unless you bought the $99 AppleCare then you have a 3 year warranty.
Massaging pixels does work...

A dead pixel? I don't think so...
It has to have way more than one for them to replace it.
I talked to them a few months ago about this, and it was something like 8 dead pixels or more.

yes hence you have to turn on individual R G B colors and check with 2 other friends before taking it out of the shop.
