^^^Welcome Artsy! Wish you lived closer. I make lampwork beads on my torch, and have always wanted to try my hand at glass blowing. Do you have a website or images of your creations?

Neato! I bet you could make some specialized laboratory glassware too! Well, lampwork beads is on a much smaller scale, but it's still lotsa fun playing with molten glass! Looking forward to seeing your collection.

Re: Introductions
Hey Guys I made it in. Found this forum randomly browsing searches for Marusan Godzilla. Finally a forum where I can learn about vintage vinyl. I see its very active. I'm 34 and from California. I am a condition freak and collect old Bandai with tags and starting on Marusan/Bullmark now. I used to be a big VGA/AFA collector (graded brand new video games and toys) but taking a break from that to really get into the old Godzilla stuff.
Thanks for having me!
Cheers
Ark

Re: Introductions
Hi there,
I'm 26 from Connecticut, USA. I came across this board a few months back while searching for a comprehensive Negora guide. Now I have four of the little critters (although I'm already thinking of selling two I'm not so crazy about) along with a Tripus. I'm completely out of my element when it comes to Japanese toys, but I think my biggest want at this point would be the 2010 Wonder Festival Matango.
I'm looking forward to exploring around here!

Re: Introductions
Hi, Ill re introduce myself for new guys. I'm Alex and I work for company Super7. I have worked here for almost 7 years and was a SB regular before that. I like food, modern design, girls with bangs, the straight edge, food related toys, varsity jackets, Anti Social Andy, the Twilight Zone, Scooters, weird ephemera and wearing sambas.
I do a podcast called Admit It! podcast. http://www.admititpodcast.com I used to do a lot of dumb videos like this with Kirkland(toybot studios)
Hiya! I'm a long time board creep and have finally decided to register. I enjoy checking out new sculpts and seeing who's doing interesting new stuff. I sculpt a bit myself and, like everyone, would like to one day have my own work produced. Collection-wise, I really dig yokai and the less appreciated toku stuff like Gridman. I really look forward to talking toy with you guys. Thanks tons for the opportunity!

Re: Introductions
Hi here bombermat from Buenos Aires Argentina, collectin toys and makin resin figures! Its good to be here on Skullbrain!! Hola amigos!
31 yr old collector, modeller from Australia. Stumbled across this board while looking for elegab and zollmen colorways. Have been collecting various Japanese style toys all my life ranging from super robots, karmen riders and gundpla. Recently really drawn to the style and colors of urban and vintage sofubi/kaijus. Have also experimented with customizing unpainted figures and loving it!
Hello SkullBrain board members, Thanks for welcoming me I've been a lurker for sometime and figured it was finally time to jump into the waters and introduce myself. My name is Alexis from Austin, TX. I am a lifelong toy and doll collector, artist, and all around weirdo. Some of my current favorites include: Paul Kaiju, doubleparlour, Cojica Toys, Rampage. Toys, and so many more… Also on instagram as plasticpurpose, where I've already had the pleasure of connecting with some SB folks. I'm pretty excited to fall even deeper down the rabbit hole here with you guys. ~alexis

Re: Introductions
Whoooops, apparently I was supposed to introduce myself here! (Sorry, I got the e-mail too late. As I am an old man, I typically retire early)
Anyhow, not much to tell, really. I'm just your average shlub that is into playing with and collecting toy monsters. I found this lovely site while Googling for various vinyl weirdos. I wasn't aware that most of this stuff existed! For a fellow that was weaned on Toho, Roger Corman, The Twilight Zone, schlock horror, and the Muppets, this place could be a sort of nirvana!
Of all the perverse usages for vinyl that I have seen thus far, I'd say that 'Greasy Bat' (sp?) would be right up there, along with this other fellow that looked to be a pimple-covered cycloptic dildo. Truly GREAT stuff, friends.
Enjoy it all - Life is a bowlful of cherries! (and fully sniffable vinyl)

My name is Jim & I have been a long time vintage American toy collector. I just got put on to Japanese stuff & I really like a lot of the underground toys that I've seen. I'm hoping this board can open my eyes up to lots more weird & obscure toys. I look forward to investigating...

Re: Introductions
I'm Scott, very new to collecting vinyl toys, but a lifelong lover of toys in general. I think my interest in these toys stemmed from my 3d printing hobby- I love unique shapes and forms, coupled with outrageous color. I appreciate the artistry that Japanese style vinyl toys are born of, and I know that as I collect, it's going to be difficult to have any sort of focus. I will probably follow the artists with the aesthetics that most appeal to me, but skip around a lot.
So, hello to all, thank you for all of the information and pics that I've been devouring these last few months, and I hope to contribute in whatever measure I can!
This is Robin from Taiwan. Have been wanting to join this site for quite sometime, great pics, collections, and awesome news share. Really ecstatic to finally made it and be able to participate in the future!
Thanks!

dropping in to introduce myself! I'm Daniel from Singapore. Been a long time lurker and finally managed to sign up with the boards. I'm a sculptor, delving mostly in the resin medium, but I have a soft spot for vinyl as well.
