All I want is the standard painted Zag and the unpainted version, if the bags contain any (and they usually do), and any mini Zag, although that one is doubtful to appear.

I usually buy a bag and quickly try to sell the others items. This year I am considering just buying the standard Zags from people who want something else.

What's the better bet, save all the money to purchase Zags directly from bag holders, or get a bag, hope for at least one, then scramble to trade/buy the other?

I think if u are gunning for specific item in LBs, it maybe cheaper to buy loose.
Looks like more and more folks are going this route too as LBs seem to last for a while these days. Used to be they are soldout instantly in the past.
That said, if your bag consist of the standard zag and a winning item that u don't collect, u will probably get the zag for 'free' after selling off the winning item.
Or maybe gargamel may finally moderate the numbers this year in view of the declining demand?
Or there maybe major surprises in the bags? Or....
The uncertainty is the allure of LB and given that not many makers continue with this tradition anymore, i will stick to my yearly routine of grabbing a couple of bags if i can.

My dream bag would include a standard unpainted Mibora and a painted Garudan. I know Mibos rarely make it into the bags (we saw what, one last year?), but that would be sweet.

I hope for the debut of a standard sized Thrashman!

This is exactly right. I also buy at least 1 bag. Last year paid off huge for me, hopefully there's a lot of good stuff in this years bag too.

^I just went for individual figs I wanted for years instead of buying LB's. Y'all are right it can be more economical, just depends on the ratio of what you're looking for that particular year.

However, it's nowhere near as fun as having your own LB to tear into. And for me, it's all about the different sizes and sheer diversity of sculpts Gargamel cranks out, instead of just collecting one or two sculpts.

I don't collect Gargamel, but would like an opaque standard Deathra (I do not like clear vinyl), Unchi, germs, mario or any of the other game toys would be exciting too.

Losing track but I'm pretty sure this year will be my 7th bag. It's going to be tricky trying to find spare funds this time round with my wedding in two weeks. Hopefully I can work something out.

Easy fix: just put the LB on the wedding registry. It'll be the first thing to get bought for you. Problem solved.

As mentioned elsewhere I'd love to see the debut of a standard sized Smoggun but I doubt we'll see one in this LB.

I just sold something for $300, which was supposed to go towards preorders I have coming up later this year. I didn't really want to spend that money right away, but I've bought a Lucky Bag the past two years and I've always been happy with it. I really want to get one this year. So I might have to splurge. I'd love to find that they've released a new figure into the bags this year and make Miborah a standard figure rather than a rare find because I still don't have one of those. It's all probably just wishful thinking, but one can hope.

this will be my 4th year. past 2 years i've preordered a bag and then picked up another after i've seen the contents of some other bags (david's). i've never been as lucky as however, though i've certainly never been disappointed.

Same here. I buy a bag, and usually always buy another based on everything I see pop up. I was lucky last year, I doubt I'll ever get this lucky again.

My wife actually opened this bag while I was working late. When she sent me pictures of it I thought she was joking.
