 Re: BxH
I just picked up the silver and gold kuns from Mandarake. I'm pretty bummed as their faces are much more scuffed than I expected. I've never had issues with Mandarake before, but this was an uncool surprise. I tried some soap and warm water to at least clean up the yellowing but it didn't do anything. (you can't really see the yellowing in the photos. Anyone else had issues like this?) I was going to take a magic eraser sponge to them but stopped myself before i find out what the base colour is. I'm guessing black?

 Re: BxH
Still hunting the silver Kun and saw these but figured from the price they may not be 100%. Most of the time MIB is the only way to fly with BxH.
'Made in China' is one of the downsides of a lot of their stuff and the matt white (especially over black) never seems to survive well over time.
I would test the magic eraser somewhere inconspicuous first. . . . I would think the paint would rub through real easy.

 Re: BxH
yeah, i'm glad i learned my lesson now rather than on something pricier. (Still stings after the shipping though.)
Is the yellowing just natural discolouration that you can expect, or just bad care from the previous owner? (i'm guessing a smoker's house would maybe do this)

 Re: BxH
Never had any problems with yellowing (other than the Clear Kun DX) but my gold has an odd subtle blue hue to it . . . I put it down to possible oxidisation of the pigment in the gold underneath.

True dat! The Giant Mekaru Kun was one of the toys that first got me into this hobby, a huge, hefty, really well-made chunk of vinyl from Japan. Total shelf hog in the best possible way. Conversely, my Moguru Kun is pretty substandard quality-thin hard vinyl, sloppy paint apps. Only marginally better than some of the early KR production stuff when they were first figuring everything out. Cool sculpt though. Of course, we have seen some really nice quality stuff come out of China in recent years via Medicom, etc. So I am not a purist by any means. This has probably all been said before ad nauseum, so blah, blah, blah. Give BxH some love though. Seriously. EDIT: I thought some of these Demeru Kun releases were giants, but I misread. I wish they would make a giant version of this new sculpt, but I guess production costs are prohibitively expensive.

 Re: BxH
Demeru Kun are all Japanese vinyl!
No problems with QC to date.

 Re: BxH
^I know a lot of their releases were and are JP vinyl, all top quality stuff. Thanks for clarifying my ramble though.

 Re: BxH
I found a Kid Hunter here, still mint in bag, for $240. That's not at all a bad price in my eyes, I just have to conserve my monies. Torture seeing it so close, yet so far!

 Re: BxH
I just want one. Ha ha. I'm hoping to somehow manage to swing a Kid Hunter and a Fink Shit while I'm here. The one that started it all, and the one that started it for my favorite(fight figures)!
There's a surprising amount of not so costly BxH stuff in Akihabara!
