http://hivelords.bandcamp.com/ new one from hivelords just came out.. definitely their best yet. getting WAY heavier with this release with more sludgy drone than before. i'm really thrilled with this album.

That's how I feel about The Sword as a whole. I suppose consistency counts for something! Perhaps it's better that they keep putting out good records that sound similar, rather than changing for the worse. And with Warp Riders I may have learned a lesson - not to expect something drastically different - and will enjoy Apocryphon from the jump.
It's funny, here we are a year later and I'm finally really digging Apocryphon! it totally is "more of the same", but it's absolutely solid from start to finish. And it's not entierly more of the same - there's definitely been some progression in their song writing over the years. Anyway - as with Warp Riders it took a while for me to really dig into the album. But I've been listening to it a lot lately and I'm pretty damned impressed.
I've got the "lava" vinyl too. I want the glow! Speaking of The Sword and colored vinyl, have you seen the pre-order prices for Red Fang's upcoming album? I really want it but $46 before shipping!?! Stupid! I guess I'll just go for the black vinyl for $16...

Listened to Crippled Lucifer by Burning Witch all was well. Probably my favorite release in the genre.
