My wife was absolutely frantic as we pulled up because we could see something about the front door wasn't right & there were lights on that we knew we shut off when we left this morning. I loaded up the heavy artillery & while I was clearing rooms upstairs she found a business card from the fire chief.

one of my neighbors special snowflake kids called the fire department & claimed they saw flames shooting out of my chimney. The fire dept showed up & destroyed my front door, splintering the door frame, even though there were no flames in sight. They managed to knock over everything in my foyer, got my stairs & living room carpet absolutely grimey, & left every light on in my home so I know they went through everything I own. The best part:



one of the fucking meat head firefighters fell through my ceiling while stomping around in my attic. the bathroom & toilet are full of fiberglass insulation but we can't clean up anything until the adjuster stops by on fucking Monday or Tuesday next week. I dropped my car off at the mechanic last night & I really don't need to be dealing with a fucking insurance claim right now. I am absolutely livid at the way these goons tore up my house even though there was clearly no emergency present. This is the equivalent of being SWAT'd & my neighbors said there were 5 firetrucks on my fucking front lawn.

my neighbors took pics, there was a hook & ladder going up to my roof & again, despite no evidence of "flames shooting out" or anything remotely burnt my home was used as a breaching exercise. its 1°F here & my front door is literally taped together.

Get a lawyer you should not have to pay for that. If the city claims they have to investigate any possible fire and have a right to do what they did, tell them your neighbors kid was obviously playing a prank and you want to see any hard evidence of an actual fire that made it necessary to destroy your home they way they did. I can't imagine what you have to go through with an insurance claim now because of all of this. They are usually completely useless and won't cover a majority of it because of some lame excuse that they will fault you for.

Is that kid mentally challenged or just a little brat prankster? I remember growing up my parents had a wood burning stove and smoke (and I'm sure lit embers) would come out of the chimney. Flames out of a chimney- what a dolt.
