I'm going to reminisce about the KVP for a sec: When the KVP first came out, it seemed mythical to me. I wondered if I'd ever see one in person before I bought it. So I flew to Japan and it was the only thing on my list I NEEDED to find. I overpaid at some place in harajuku but I couldn't have been more excited. I didn't even open it until I got back to the states so for all I know the box could have been full of rocks. The next year I would get my first Pus HP at SDCC. I think there may have been one Bronze companion for sale there that year and although I was there for a HP, I might have skipped to get the Bronze. I still think about Arin's colorful HP KVP that I think is the best one ever.

Also Rhinomilk once bought like 10 green KVPs by accident while learning how JYA worked via celga. That still makes me chuckle.

If I recall, the bronze was as much or more than the HP's that year. I still have my receipt for mine, I think they were $510 or somewhere in that neighborhood.

I still remember... I got ass'd out in HP's the first Pus event and I was SOOOOOOOO bummed... I then saw the Bronze and I passed because I refused to pay more for that then the HP's I missed out on. Today I have 3 HP KvP's and no Bronze! And the Bronze that I first physically saw at Double Punch was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen... and that is what actually got me into collecting toys. To this day, I still do not own one - part of me refuses to own one because I have this weird Idea that there must be something somewhat attainable that I want so much yet do not own (I know.. I'm weird... right?).

It is true.... I made my first purchases through Celga by placing bids on the Green KvP after the Original Fake release. I was so bummed I kept on losing auctions. So I was determined: I instructed Celga to place 10 bids on 10 different auctions for 20,000 yen - I was thinking I would win at least one of them... turns out I won all of them - so I got one big ass muthafuckin' box and a fat bill and I totally freaked out (not in a good way). I slowly sold/traded most of them (unfortunately I only made $$ on a few of them) - I did trade one for a black version that I was planning on customizing myself - but I only got so far as to taking it apart and leaving it that way to this day.
