There will be some planned downtime starting Wednesday, June 15th at 9am EDT. The board will be closed for approximately 12 to 24 hours while we work on migrating to a new forum software. For more information on the move, check out the Board Change Announcements thread.
I'm really sorry to hear of your loss. Hopefully the community here can assist you in this task.
I'm sure others would have better advice but I would encourage you to post some photos here. (Even if the photos are just group shots of the toys) You might find it valuable in both: - selling items efficiently - but more importantly, in having experienced members here hopefully assist you in pricing the items should you need it, so that you are treated fairly and respectfully. (i'm assuming you may not be familiar with their values, i hope i'm not speaking out of turn)
If you're unfamiliar with how to post photos here, i'm sure we can help. You'd just need to email one person and they could post them for you.

Very sorry for your loss...
Please, please, please accept help if needed to sort through what you have...this is a public forum, therefore it brings all types. Moderators, in theory, should be able to help and/or tell you if someone is giving you correct information or reliable.
Do the right thing here, everyone, please.

Re: Huge Kaiju Collection
Sorry for you loss.
I do think you'd be better off finding a single shop/seller to do a consignment sale for you. Posting on these boards and navigating the responses and shipping could become very time consuming. I don't know if you are near any vinly toy stores. Off the top of my head I think http://www.toyasobject.com/ does consignment sales.
I also am very sorry to hear about your loss and offer my condolences. Dealing with a loved one's large collection, especially something in so niche an area like this, can really seem like a daunting task. Having to worry about stuff like that should be the least of you priorities. We are here to help out in any way that we can, so please try and not become overwhelmed with it all. Just ask, and I am sure many volunteers here will be happy to offer what they can. Perhaps if there is someone local to you, it may be easiest to help you out in person, and you can let others worry about the details and legwork. Getting help in one go (e.g. either to one buyer or someone to handle it all separately) versus piecemeal is probably the best if you can make it happen.

Re: Huge Kaiju Collection
I purchased a few items from the collection last night, and have asked if she would like for me to post the collection shots she sent me. Ill get them up here if she wants me to.

Re: Huge Kaiju Collection
Here are the photos... I blacked out the pieces that I purchased. As far as I know everything else is available still.
If you see something you want, please find a link to a webstore or some other way to prove the value of the toy, and then email Kathleen the link along with a photo/description of the toy so she knows which one you want. she will send you a paypal invoice.
you can also email for better pictures of anything specific.

Re: Huge Kaiju Collection
I'm so sad to be reading of this ~ Justin was one of the first people that I really connected with here, and treasure our conversations of old and the many examples of his creative efforts that I'm lucky enough to call my own. His paintings, zines and resin work are uniformly wonderful.
Here's a couple of pics from the summer of '11:
I'd commissioned the painting of Dada and Keronia hugging, and he very generously threw in the awesome Booska portrait and lovely resin bits as a surprise. All have been prominently displayed in my home ever since.
However little it can possibly help, please know that I'm wishing you and yours well from afar.

^^ Thanks for sharing this, David.
I didn't know Justin, but these positive accounts speak to his character and the positive mark he left on many here.
That's pretty cool.
My sincerest sympathies, Kathleen.

Re: Huge Kaiju Collection
I cropped up a picture the other day of that painting that Justin made for me, as I've been thinking about him and wanted to share a little of his work over on that other site.
I ended up re-reading his blog, and discovered these short videos that he'd shot and soundtracked:
