That is such a lovely example of that version indeed. I sure hope someone here was able to seize the chance - at at a good price - so that I can rest in the knowledge he is in a loving new place, and so we can hopefully get to see more photos of him (nudge, nudge). :)

Hot damn. The best Hedorah ever (well, s'pose one might request the Hawaii version) but jeez, you are paying a hefty premium for a thin piece of plastic around your toy. PLUS, you don't even get the play joyfully and revel in the squee of such a fun and wonderful toy. Great condition, and perfect for a museum or 'quality' display, but I'll stick with a loose figure any day of the week.

^^Yeah, some of those actually went for LESS than what they've commanded in the past. It's weird: the good-guy Mobile Suits (well, other than the Gundam) must have been produced in MUCH smaller quantities than the Zeon mecha.

Wow I suspect that this seller was probably waiting to see where that other mini Devilman ended up before listing. Happens often on YJA.

Strange. There's a Bullmark logo on it, but the prior one I've seen (loose) came in the Ultra Leo outfit.

Yeah, you can see the 'Leo' suit version of the set a few pages back,
http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic. ... 31#p872331

They are really nice, I would love to have even an incomplete of these someday. Sure are pricey toys though. I haven't seen them come up for sale too often, and reckon the price also reflects a bit of their rarity (as opposed to popularity).

I woulda snagged this for about $100. Not for over ten times that! Ill-proportioned Mach Baron KO (with Mazinger legs). Looks like he was stretched on a torture rack. Crazy price for this loose figure.

That is certainly a crazy price, but he is an excellent bootleg. Such an interesting bootleg take on MB. I love that is looks like he is wearing a crown and has some kind of mask on, barely robot at all. And the (mismatched) slim arms and legs, not to mention his relatively smooth and human-like torso just add more to that effect. Goofy, fun, and cool - everything I love in toys. Definitely a toy I would love to have, but, wow, it would be a costly investment. Thanks for sharing it Myles, that is a great one to watch out for.

Wow just wow, $17, 614 if the currency exchange is right! That's a whole lotta cheddar. Absolutely beautiful and giant toy though (silver paint mostly intact as well), every time one is mentioned I think of this awesome Toyboxdx Brog entry:

http://toyboxdx.com/brog/?p=4319

BTW speaking of Red Baron Robot, does anyone know if this was ever made?:

Post Re: strange or rare yahoo auctions post here (after theyre o
That is definitely a whole lot, but it is also one hefty, amazing toy. Shuckaroony. If I had oodles of cash laying around, I could only imagine spending it on such lovely vintage pieces. Truly a stunner, and would amazing cornerstoning any vintage collection.

I don't know Lixx, I never saw any more info, but I sure hope, if not yet, that it does. I really like, nay love, that version of him. Great bulky body, perfect amount of detail to smoothness, just excellent attention to quality, but most of all, it is the pupils that just sells it for me. You almost never see a RB painted like that, and it just puts in on a whole other level. Some may not be into the goofy/non-robot look, and prefer a traditional 'robot', which is a totally fair argument, but I think it is exactly what I want to see (now that I have seen it). Amazing. If this gets made, or people have more info, please do share.

It's a really beautiful piece, I think I've only seen about three of these figures but only in photo. :(
I agree with you guys is too much ¥¥¥¥¥¥ for a figure, but I can not blame the buyer to do so.
By the way Lixx, thank's for the link :!:

Post Re: strange or rare yahoo auctions post here (after theyre o
Since we shared that bootleg MB/Mazinger mockup, I thought I would post this other one too that I was watching. Not as pricey for this fella, but still a heck of a lot of scratch for a mini figure. I really love this Getter Robo G/'Dragun' actually. he has got completely different proportions to standard figures, and isn't at all like the usual take on robots either. The sculpt has a lot of character, and I love the rounded and long limbs - very costumed humanoid/action figure-like. The head too is just great with its detail. He has an excellent mouth, great eyes, and the blades on his sides are just tops! I can't stop looking at them. I really, really dig this guy. The fact they added in the 'detail' into the surface sculpting, and molded the joints, cape, etc. really makes this toy great. I find these bootlegs seem to be a step above in terms of quality too, compared to the many typical versions we see. Lots of attention to detail, cleaner paint apps, and generally good vinyl. They definitely don't seem like your average 'souvenir shop' fare. I would love to know more about them, but I think even in Japan they must not be very common. I am sure this is a great (hi)story behind them. Side note: looks like this went to a buying service, so if, on the odd chance it ends up in the hands of someone on here, I look forward to hearing more about it.

This one it's a beauty and never seen this header-card before.
The vinyl of the left arm looks like it was burned, but that doesn't bother me.

I was hoping to win that KR, but it went too high for me. andy, it was posted before in the Cyborg Clear thRead.

Here are a few interesting ones. Boxed Fireman talker:

This is just the small common Kikaida transparent figure, but someone had colored in the two body halves. It actually looked really cool since you could still see through the coloring, and the price was up there too for a figure with marker!
